Is this a Carrier 20 Infinity? I see the following service manual for it but see no H4 error code. I would be looking at the warranty, any service contract. These models apparently have intelligent control of the refrigerant built-in. I can't find a reference to an H4 error even among support pages for Carriers. H4-00 means thst the copier isn't warming up quickly enough. Try this code to reset it. Press the following buttons in this order: #, interupt, C, interupt, 1, 4 . machine will say sim 14 trouble clear are you sure. Press the OK button. This should reboot the copier. Most likely the machine is in need of a heater lamp in the fuser unit.

The problem associated with this code is related to the fuser not heating up fast enough. H codes cannot be cleared by powering off and on the unit. A service call is required.

Press P-interrupt-C-interrupt and enter test command 14 and Execute to clear your error. Let your machine reboot. If it comes back you have a problem with your fuser. Most likely it's dirt or toner caked on your tempature sensors and they need to be scraped off.
