As long as you have a genuwine product key you can check with your local computer repair shop or even local community college. Both usually have a copy of XP for training purposes. Just make sure that you have the certificate that indicates you own that product key.

It is fake antivirus on internet. Most of the internet users have got bad experience with this VISTA SECURITY 2010 POPUP. This particular virus cannot be detected with any normal antivirus software and at the end internet users are the victim of loosing important data by formatting the hard drive. This is a scam, should not be taken lightly. It will give popup on your screen like- your Vista PC has got serious infection - System infected with Trojan. Even it will give count of infected files, which is really very scary. This fake antivirus might have downloaded by clicking on infected FACEBOOK or MYSPACE ads or by downloading any software or movies or songs.

Press Crtl+Alt+delete and open task manger then click on process tab. Highlight ave.exe and click on end process

Try the following steps

Go to Start> Run. Type notepad and press enter...
While notepad will open, copy all the text on notepad.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.exe]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\secfile]
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\secfile]
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe\shell\open\command]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command]
@="\"%1\" %*"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe]
@="exefile"
"Content Type"="application/x-msdownload"

Then save this notepad as fix.reg on the Desktop

*** (Remember to select All Files on save as as window while saving the notepad) ****

Double Click on fix.reg and then click YES for confirm.

Restart the computer.

The best and cheapest solution (used this loads of times) is to download this programme
https://www.freedrweb.com/download+cureit+free/?lng=en

select personal use only

Download to a usb stick and reboot your computer to safe mode (f8), run the programme from usb
then after it has found and killed the virus, do a custom scan ( c/...) to make sure the hard drive is clean

Then delete all your recovery backups, ( turn off sys restore) as the virus may be still resident there ( you can always re-enable system resore afterwards)

On my desk top computer, I received a ThinkPoint (fake) Anti-Virus. I did CTRL, ALT, DEL. Task window opened and I deleted hotfix.exe. I also ran malwarebytes anti-malware. problem seemed to be fixed....

Run Malwarebytes again but before you do turn off system restore. There is probably a reboot hacktool in the restore volume. Windows will not allow Anti-virus programs to scan there by default so the only way to kill the hacktool is to turn of restore. The hacktool reinstalls the virus as soon as you reboot. So turn it off, run malwarebytes and another program called Cureit! http://www.freedrweb.com/cureit/?lng=en save to desktop (it's free too) when you run the program it doesn't install it runs a quick scan first then offers you a full scan after the quick scan. Also a very good program. Run them both. After you're done turn system restore back on and create a new restore point. Good luck
If this helps you resolve your problem, please
consider giving me a good rating .It will help me
as well. Thank you.

I _EXTREMELY_ _DOUBT_ that they are legitimate, because "everybody" has problems with their computer.

Instead, access a _LEGITIMATE_ web-site:
* http://cainternetsecurity.net/entscanner/
* http://www.prevx.com

and download a virus-scanner that will find/remove any malicious files.

Its a common problem with Windows OS!

2. Try to update ur Windows OS! (if above don't works!).

3. Last resort is to reload Windows! (sorry!!)

Wireless Function Light Will Not Allow Computer To Boot

My guess is that you may have gotten a serious virus. Try running your Antivirus aoftware and, if a virus is detected, use your Antivirus software to clean it. If not, then you can either try a System Restore; or backup your files and reformat the hard drive and reinstall a fresh new copy of your Windows Operating System.
