I have an HP Pavilion Laptop; it worked only once. Now, the computer doesn't recognize the Omega when plugged in, and won't load the software.

My experience is that it doesn't work well on ANY computer. I would steer clear of the Omega. I have had one and have had nothing but grief.

That being said it "should" work theoretically.

LEXICON RECORDING SYSTEM-NOT SURE WHAT'S GOING ON

I think what you are trying to ask is: You've got the hardware (The Mixer Proper) installed, and need the software. The software is called Cubebase LE.

Omega Studio won't record to computer

The omega is like an external sound card. It has to be connected via your computer with a device driver, the software that came with the lexicon. Then you record on a software program such as Cubase.
Go to the guitar center for more help or go to google .com and type in lexicon omega. Lots of sights to look for answers or better yet go to lexicon omega's home site.

hi sounds like a worng channel or no output from something check the tape output's for anything if there is sound but bad or low then the tape is the problem if it's good then check that the cable connection is good (connect it to a reciver) then if all is good till the unit: check that you are listening to the right channel check that your output device is good (headphones, speakers) (connect it to a reciver) good luck
