I had the same problem with my LN32A450. The red standby light would flicker off every 5 seconds or so and the TV would not turn on. The problem was with the power supply board. When the light flickered this way, the standby power read 5.05V on the voltmeter instead of the required 5.2V. The problem lies in one of the solder joints in the standby power regulator.
You can fix this yourself if you have enough skill. Pull the board and reflow the solder on the SMT component joints with rosin (or your favorite flux, but clean it off afterwards). The SMT components are on the bottom side of the board. I ended up resoldering the joints from the first stage step down converter all the way to standby power filter cap and the feedback circuitry, including the main power regulator and everything in between, thru-hole parts too.
Check for bulging caps while you are there and replace.

There is a recall on this model if your TV was manufactured between 02/08 and 08/08. An authorized repair shop will be able to fix this problem for free.

Fix or repair - Faulty parts on PS board , bad press for Samsung. When checking the capacitors, If they are slightly rounded on the top where the X is, the cap is defective. Because the Samsung LNS4051D would not turn on and the power LED would blink 4 times and the relay would click and this would repeat again and again. I replaced power supply board parts CM806, 811, 812 & 817, all 1000 uf 10v capacitors, three had their tops bulged up slightly that I missed on initial visual inspection. After seeing the reports of problems with these caps on http://www.fixya.com/support/t1336881-will_not_turn_or_off , I replaced them with Radio Shack part 272-1032, 1000 uf, 35v. They are slightly bigger, but fit OK. TV is working fine now. Cost was 4 x $1.59 = $6.36 plus the time. I saved between $100 to 300 in the process of either replacing the board or getting the unit serviced. If you are not comfortable replacing components which means using a soldering iron, you can replace the power circuit board, available from www.Samsung.PartStore.com. I have the Samsung model: LN46E550F6FXZA, I can hear it power on, the red light on the front blinks 5 times then goes off. There is no sound or picture.

You will need to have it repaired, looks like the inverter board is broken. Google Samsung tv blinks 5 times, there's tons of threads.

Samsung AQV24NSGN red and green light blink

The blinks are a code. If 3 red blinks, could be power board.

TV won't turn on. Red standby light blinks

Samsung told me this was a common problem and I would have to have it serviced by an authorized repair facility.
My problem ended up being the internal power supply, but they also told me the main boards burn up.

Our power went out for a brief moment and now the Samsung LN32A450 LCD TV we have isn't working and there is only a blinking red light on the bottom. Any suggestions?

Try unplugging and plugging it back in. Was there lightning, and was it attached to a surge protector?
Try pressing the power button repeatedly or even slapping the back of the tv (try googling this).
Good luck!

When I turn on my LN32A450 TV it flashes to black screen for a few seconds for the first 15 minutes or so. I have tried unplugging for 30 seconds as mentioned in the manual but no help. After it warms up...

This is probally a fix for a repairman. Probally a bad video card or power supply board. It is probally not going to be cost effective, You are probally best off buying a new one.
