Question about KitchenAid KSCS25IN Side by Side Refrigerator
About every hour or two I have to push the over temp reset button
I think it could be the condenser is full of dirt, dust and pet hairs if pets are present. Also possible Evaporator fan problem or defrost also causing poor air flow in order for temp sensing .

In cases like this, there is ALWAYS a reason for the over temp button to trip. Possible causes:
1. Faulty Over Temp Switch
2. Compressor over/under charged causing too much electrical current and tripping the over temp switch
3. Fins in the rear of the fridge clogged with dust causing compressor to work too hard.
Bottom line: The Over Temp switch is a safety device and is trying to tell you something is wrong. Consider professional repair or depending on the age of the unit, consider replacement.
