Yamaha RX-V2600 completely dead ... any ideas

If it is plugged in to a working outlet, and the AC cord is not broken, there is a problem in the power supply of the receiver. This provides all of the DC voltages that make all functions work. If it is completely dead, the display, the lights, the audio, (everything) is not working; and it is not likely there are separate problems in all of these areas at the same time.

I am only able to get sound from one channel when I plug in an external devise (Ipod) into any RCA jack. This was not always the case. Any ideas?

Do your other analog sources still work okay? FM? Test tones?

You don't name the model so I can't name specific controls.

If it affects all analog sources there is a good chance that a common control may have developed a high-resistance or 'dead' spot through idleness and is causing your symptom. Turn the POWER OFF and operate every control throughout its range a number of times, especially rarely-used ones like Tape Monitors and the Mute control.

Turn the volume to something reasonable and see if that helped.

Hello. I get no sound out of my AVR 7000 Receiver. No cables behind has been touched in the past. I'm trying TEST TONE, and everything seems normal in the display, but still no sound. I use Preout a NAD...

You don't say if all speakers are silent or just the ones to the unspecified NAD power amp. Do ANY speakers work regardless of which device powers them? Could the NAD be the problem?

Remove the fuse cover with a flat screwdriver, then pull the surrounding circular black plastic piec straight out and reorient it to show the desired voltage, then plug it in, insert the fuse and cap.

Right Front and rear speaker do not work proberly.

I ran into the same issue with an AVR 7000 after it had been shipped to me. I took the cover of and found that the left and right amplifiers have a separate power plug into them. when I plugged to "bad" side back in everything worked great.

Is the volume on the dish network device turned all of the way dowm?

Is the dish network connected to its pwn input on the SS system and did you turn the SS system to that input ?

Are you using the analog input (red and white) cables to the input from the TV to the SS System?, not from the SS box? This is not the correct setup?

Stopped working

I had a similar problem with a jvc 8040. when I replaced the fuse it became very obvious that the b1560 output on the center channel was blown (smoke and sparks, always a dead giveaway). I haven't fixed the center channel yet but simply unplugged the center channel board and removed it from the unit. Now everything works fine except of course the center channel. Pre outs still operate just fine so a slave amp could be used for center channel power, or you could just go and buy a marantz amp; I did and then I realized that I was lucky that the old jvc quit.
