Re: port fordwording is not working for Radmin port 4899
When you do port forwarding you must know or have a static ip of the device for the application. For example, if you want to forward port 3074 for your xbox live, you need to enter also the xbox ip address on the port forwarding page. Port forwarding is like opening a port on your firewall for that specific application. Make sure also that you have the latest firmware of the router.

The Westell 7500 is not just a router. It's a gateway (for DSL), a 4 port LAN (wired network), wireless router and can be made into a bridge, for use with a router of your choice. It's my understanding there are modem/routers out now and you would simply set them up with the settings found in the Westell.
Make sure the Belkin wireless is the only device directly connecting to your internet service provider's router/modem. Usually that port is labelled "WAN" or even "Internet". The Belkin should have extra ports/jacks for WIRED connections, right? You then connect the PC into the other remaining ports/jacks on the Belkin (if they're wired) or just use the wireless for the laptop if the laptop has wireless. After getting the wireless going, though, you should lock it down by using WPA encryption key if possible.
On routers most of the time you can see 5 RJ45(LAN Cable) ports. Four will be close together and one is more apart. On this port you need to connect the modem. And on the other port the computer , no matter which one. Check for the lights in front of the router. One will be the WAN connection and needs to be green. Amber color is no good.
It's not the MTU problem any more. Its the router's firewall. To resolve it, you two steps to try. First, try to do port forwarding, you must forward the port for XBOX Live to the router's admin page. I believe the ports are 3074 TCP and UDP, 53 TCP and UDP, 88 TCP and UDP. If that doesn't work, try to just disable the router's firewall itself. One of these steps will surely fix your problem
1. log into the router; 2. Click the Applications & Gaming link near the top of the page.
3. You should now see a new menu. Click Single Port Forwarding or Port Range Forwarding. 4, Enter sth like: HTTP; 80; 80; TCP; 192.168.0.1; check 5. When you're finished, click Save Settings near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.
go to administration-> remote administration to set up remote management Remember, remote Administrator requires
you to forward the 4899 ports.
