Question about Alpine CDA 7893 CD Player

1 Answer

CD Player I have installed an Alpine CDA-7893 deck into my truck. The only thing that does not work is the CD player, the timer for the song will say it is playing but I'm not getting any sound. I am getting sound through my radio though.

Sometimes when you jump off a truck the CD player fuse will blow because it was trying to turn on each time you turned over the engine. Check all the fuses.

On my alpine deck there is a setting to switch what country you are in. i believe finding that setting would do the trick. is your alpine deck from the us? or was it sold to you in your country from a retailer?

Peripheral's Connex2Car adapter to an Alpine CDA-9851

the alpine should recognize it as a "changer" when you select the source; ie: radio, CD, changer. Sounds simple, but have you turned up the volume on the iPod?
The Alpine adapter is $100, but works great, you can totally control all your iPods functions, and it displays all song info on the Alpine decks display.
