yes i think the tv is on its way out
could be in the jasks the main board
your picture tube could be on the way out also its most cheaper on you to purchase a new set
to try and isolate: get a can of dust off and tip it upside down and spray one area at a time to try to get the problem to go away. Possibly you will locate the bad component, be careful and be safe..
It is hooked up to Direct TV. When I change the channel on the TV to another input it looks fine but without a picture.
as you do not see tint in another channel means your color section is ok
it is due to video or luminance section.
the keyboard has bad tact switches or the infrared detector has some issues. you can unsolder the keybard switches one at a time, or you can replace the whole keyboard with some of these models
Sounds like an eeprom problem or a microprocessor problem??? Also make sure the tv didnt lose its channel memory by reprogramming the channels feature in the menu. Good Luck
