I'm having the same problem but mine is because there are some files in my media center that won't delete. The only time I can use the phone for more than just a phone is if that SIM is in it. But I cancelled Nextel and now just have a Boost card for when I want Direct Connect... I have updated software multiple times and I have done so many resets... Nothing. Help would be great. Thank you.

I had the same problem. Come to find out, SIM cards are different. Nextel/Sprint got smart and scaled down SIM cards for the less expensive models (ie the i335). Therefore, the SIM cards that come in the scaled down phones do not have a "media center" on the need an older SIM (they are yellow on the bottom) or a SIM that was designed to go in the i880. I have a SIM out of a old i265 that works....I tried a SIM out of an i730 and it didn't work either. Hope that helps and good luck. When you get the right SIM, the stupid "refreshing media" will be ancient history. :)

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

My sansa disk is froze on the refreshing media screen

This happens often with Sansa Media Players, your best bet is to delete all your songs off the device, then re-add them again. But this time have your device on hold, which is having the switch at the top of the device pushed to the right side. This will make sure nothing happens while the device is syncing.

My sansa is always freezing up. its stuck on the "refreshing your media" screen. how do i unfreez it?

Push the power button up and hold it there for 20 seconds, this will reset the player.

If this does not work just post back for a few options.

Can not get into camera, ring tones or media center...

Try a soft reset:

Take the battery out of the back of the device and wait 30 seconds before replacing battery. Boot up device and try to access your applications again.

If you are still experiencing problems, I would recommend contacting your pre-paid service for further troubleshoot.

Note: You can only send audio files, pictures,
and videos if they are not forward locked
and if their DRM settings do not prevent
you from sending. (you can contact your service provider for more info on this)

1 From the main menu, select Media Center.
2 Scroll to the audio file, picture, or video you want
to send.
3 Press m.
4 Select Send Via....
5 Select Bluetooth.
6 Select the device you want to transfer to. -or-
Search for the device you want to transfer to by
selecting [Find Devices].
7 If prompted, bond with the device.
Your phone connects to the device and transfers
the audio file, picture, or video.

This is the exact instructions from the manual, here is a link to your manual, if it still doesn't work, then you will have to contact your service provider since it will be a problem on their end then, possibly copyright or something.

here is the manual

Please let me know if you need any more help but I can't do much more, it should work. thanks, have a good night

I've got the same problem too. I read this on another website: 'well firstly drain the battery and then connect it to charge it up a bit. once it has been there for 5min or so take it off and then turn it on>settings>USB Mode>MSC once you have done that connect it up and it should work/recognise the player. i don''t know how this thingy happens but this is just how i fixed mine!' I'm gonna try it now on mine, and see if it works. I've just got to wait now... Good luck with yours.
