Why does the rubber sealer on refridgerator door and freezer door get hot

Inside the frame is a warm bit of pipework, or sometimes a mullion heater, that stops the seal freezing to the frame.

My Neff fridge (K4316X1/GB) door does not close tightly on it's own and so does not seal properly unless I press it home

Try the following:
  1. Make sure there is nothing sticking out the fridge what could keep the door from shutting;
  2. Take a good look at the hinges and perhaps clean them or lubricate them (using Teflon spray);
  3. There is a white rubber strip all around containing the magnet with which the door should seal itself. Clean this rubber strip and the surface of the fridge it lands on;
  4. Make sure the fridge is level.

Freezer door opens on own

Majority of Freezer's are kept shut on closing by the "plastic/rubber seal" on the doors. Check overfilling is not stopping the door from sealing correctly on closing, Check to see if seal is broken.

The refridgerator door is not sealing properly and the magnetic seal between the refrig door and the freexer door is hot.

Heat the seals with a hair dryer and then pull it tight - strap it tightly shut - you can also use some super glue to keep it in place while it dries.

My Refridgerator's door is tight.It can not open easily.

Wax the metal part of the door where the rubber meets it. Put some silicone spray on the rubber gasket ... dont go crazy with it. Spray on a rag and wipe it on with the rag.

Refridgerator door sags

Its a two person job. One person has to looses up the two hidges holding the door just slightly while the other person holds the door in place. Once in place tighten the screw/bolts for the hidges back up and check. If not aligned, redo it again until it is aligned and seals properly..
Good Luck!

Refrigerator side not sealing tightly when shut.

Sounds like you may need a new magnetic seal. It is worth the money to fix it, saving electric and your food items.

a lot of the sub-zero doors are good and heavy duty, but the plastic shim under the hinge wears and can drag when you go to close door, usually a simply repair to find a washer for the door hinge.
