Question about Sony VAIO PCG-K35 Notebook
We bought this laptop on an online auction a few months back. This week, we have had trouble connecting to our own wireless network (but could connect to the neighbors??) It hasn't been able to operate without being connected to an outlet for about a month. We have it plugged in (and have tried other outlets) however, when you push the power button, NOTHING happens. No fan, lights, anything. Can anyone offer a solution?
You seem to have two (2) problems:
1. wireless connection;
2. powering up.
On powering up, pls try:
a. charge the batteries at least overnight;
b. run the laptop with the AC adapter only and the battery removed;
c. do "b" but delay powering on the laptop for a couple of minutes.
On the wireless, pls try:
i. determine if a WEP or WPA security key is being used;
ii. check your router configurations;
iii. do a reset of your router (this would of course would set the router to default/factory values. This would be a last recourse since it is possible you will loose all Internet connectivity. Better to save your router configurations or copy them down somewhere.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FixYa.
