That's what's used for your Internet Explorer function, which is key to the whole machine..you MAY need to reinstall the operating system from install cd.

Tip

You Home Page Never Being Changed...

Some websites illegally modify your registry editor and set their website as default home page, for stop this.

1. Right-click on the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop and select "Properties".

2. In the "Target" box you will see.

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE".

3. Now by adding the URL of the site to the end of this is overrides any Homepage setting in internet options:

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" www.shareodie.com

I'm sure it works. Have Fun!

Good luck!

Sounds like you have a bad memory module. Test them one by one to discover the faulty one.

Runtime Error

Try booting the computer in Safemode ( Restart the computer and press F8 just before Windows start loading). Then go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore. See if you can restore your system to a period when you did not have this problem. That is if you started having this problem very recently. Hope this helps.

your best bet is to copy and paste your error message into Google and search it. I've always found an explanation to error messages this way. Matt

DfragFat.exe Application error

I suggest backing up before you do *anything* else. ghost a copy to an external or spare internal hard drive. It sounds to me like your hard drive could be on the brink of death.

Once you get a copy ghosted do a scandisk with the "automatically detect and attempt recovery of bad sectors" checked. I bet it finds some irregularities.
