Liquid Video Monitor

I have a 15" Liquid Video Monitor and need to find out if there is a longer power cord available that goes from the monitor to the CPU. I want to relocate the CPU to another place but the power cord is not long enough. Please advise.

Thanks, Susie

1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.

Most Liquid video tv's and indeed most TV's these days use a RCA power cord. They are available cheaply online and in some dollar stores. You may already have one you can use to test the tv with as desktops use them and some laptops use them as well.

Monitor power light blinks, then goes out. PC screen goes black.

Unplugging the power cord repeatedly is not a good idea! I hope this helps: 1- After you get a picture, go to "Device manager" (Click on Start-Programs-settings-device manager) and make sure that there is not question or an exclamation mark next to Monitors. If that is the case you might need to reinstall the driver! 2- Make sure that your video card is not faulty by hooking up a different monitor and see if it is working ok. If you still have the same problem, then you need to replace the video card. 3- Check all cables and power cords and make sure that there's good connectivity on all ends (before powering up the machine) and that there are no nicks or cuts. If possible try replacing the monitor's data cable as well. Good luck

Need a power cord

Most monitors take the same power cord as a desktop power supply or printer. They are available at most stores with computer gear. The monitor spot where you plug in the cord will be a irregular hexagon forming a regular rectangle on one half and three sides on the other. The monitor will have three prongs. The wall outlet plug is a standard grounded plug.

I hope this helps.
