A little awkward atfirst but shlould be a problem. remove the angular panel along the rear of hte washer top youll see two brass clips an inch in on both sides, with a screwdrier "pop" these clips off, and if i remember correctly there are (2) 5/16 screws directly behind them (sorta on the frame of unit just below the rear lip of the top) the main top then will slide toawrd you and rigth off. a screw secures the front panel on both sides adn it too lifts up and off. acess to pump is right there. reverse order nad your good to go.hte brass clips will SNAP right back in place when lined up correctly

If you hear the motor running but only the water pumps out, you probably need a new coupler. These are very cheap and easy to change, if you're mechanically inclined.

Getting into the cabinet is a matter of two screws, two clips, a wiring disconnect, and enough space to tilt the cabinet off the base of the unit and set it aside.

Once inside, you'll see the pump in the front, mounted on the motor. The pump is held on with 2 clips, and can be swung aside without disconnecting the hoses. The motor is held on by 2 clips and 2 screws, and has one wiring plug. Once it's out, you can see the coupler, which probably has had the pins sheared off the plates, and some rubber remnants. Carefully pry off and replace all the parts, being careful to align the pins when re-installing the motor.

Re-assembly is the reverse of dis-assembly. You can test with the cabinet off if you place a small jumper wire across the pins of the plug that hooks into the cabinet for the lid switch.

Won't fill with water, will spin

Turn the water off and remove the hoses from the machine. Check for clogged screens, pry them out and wash them then re install the screens and retry. To replace the water valve is pretty easy. Removing the cabinet will be what ya gotta do. Their are plenty of videos on youtube which show how to replace a water valve on a direct drive washer. Like this one

Will not turn on, here a buzzing sound

you have to unplug the power cord, remove the cabinet, at the lower center there is the water pump, remove it and move it out or the way from the motor. put back the cabinet and try to turn it on. if it comes on then you have a blocked pump or a piece of clothing inside holding the pump impeler. remove cabinet, get some towels and remove and inspect iside of pump. use a big flat head screwdriver to move pump with it. if it not move replace pump. if you find clothing inside remove and install and run washer.

My Whirlpool washer will not fill with cold water

Hi Pekahs,
Your inlet valve has gone on permanent strike and has gotta be replaced. The part number is 285805 and can be found at a local appliance parts retailer or you can plug that part number into a search engine and price shop on line. Follow the instructions in this video for access to the cabinet and valve....

You'll see the valve on the right hand side. It's a very simple repair, but if you have any more questions just write back, OK?

Whirlpool LSQ9500LQ0 will not drain water

Access to the inside on this washer will require taking off the whole cabinet.

1. Remove two screws on the back side and on each end of the control panel.
2. The whole control panel will then pull forward then flip it back out of your way.
3. There are a group of wires coming from the control panel going down to a single plug, unplug them from the main cabinet.
4. Remove the two large brass colored clips on each side.
5. You can now remove the whole cabinet.

The water pump is in front and secured only by two clips top and bottom.
