Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

Washed a load of clothes and tried to start another load after a few minutes. The machine would only buzz at any position but off. I made sure the water was still on, unplugged the power and tried again, same results. Next I unloaded the tub and tried again, same results. I inheirated this washer with a condo we bought so I don't know much about it, but it has seemed to function well after several uses. The Energy Guide on front of the machine indicates it is a model WWA5600G, WWA7050G OR WWA7304V General Electric Heavy Duty Washer. Any help will really be appreciated.

Most likely the door lock trying to lock the lid. May be misalignment or faulty door lock.

I have an Asko 20005 front load washer. When the humidity is high, it buzzes but will not start. When I run a dehumidifier for a few hours it works fine.

The humidity will kill the control unit if you keep trying to start when buzzing. Make sure the humidity is as low as possible. These controlunits are discontinued, and impossible to get as sparepart!

However, this is the best machine ever made!!

My frigidaire affinity front load washer buzzes and will not cycle what wouldcause that?

Good Morning Friend,

I see that your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000E, is buzzing and will not cycle. Some possible causes of this could be:

-Your washer is overloaded with clothes. Try taking some clothes out and restarting.
-There could be an article of clothing that might have slipped in between the gasket and the drum that might be stopping the drum from spinning. Check to see if there are any clothes that might be missing and possibly stuck between the drum and gasket.

If you have tried the above solutions and are still having trouble, I suggest giving your washer a hard reset. You will do this by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. After the time has passed, restore power and start a cycle. If your appliance is still buzzing and not spinning, I suggest that you contact your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your washer and determine the cause of the buzzing and why it is not spinning. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-
WP

Top Loading Washing machine Stopped working mid-load

You may find a piece of clothing has jammed the lower spinner or the mechanism is worn and jammed up.

When the load starts, the washer buzzes and then the FL code is shown

This is a Failed to Lock Code. Check the seal at the lock to see if something is in the way or blocking it. Overloading or having too many clothes in the way will also cause the door to fail to seat correctly. Generally however the lock mechanism needs to be replaced or reseated as it is no longer making contact with the control board.

Machine filled with water then just began beeping. Never started to wash the clothes. When turned off and then on again, it makes a buzzing noise and nothing happens.

If your buzzing noise stops after a few seconds, it could be the motor failing to start. If it sounds like a signal buzzer, it could be indicating the lid open, or a failed lid switch.

Try unplugging the washer and letting it sit for a few minutes and then plug it back in.

I have a HE5t kenmore elite front loading washer. It has done great for about 15 months. We were away for about 3 weeks, and since we have returned, I put in a load of clothes, and it tries to start...

F35 is a water level error.
The water level switch (pressure switch) has malfunctioned.

If you remove the top panel, three screws in the back, you will have access to the pressure switch.

With the tub empty, remove the vinyl hose from the switch and blow backwards through the hose to clear any restrictions.

If the fault codes return after doing this, you will likely need to replace the pressure switch.

Also - please be sure to use He soap.

I have a two-year old Frigidaire GLTF2940FSO front loader washer that has stopped in the middle of a load leaving water in the drum and will produce a buzzing sound no matter what cycle you put it on. We...

did you try unplugging it and plugging it back in to see if you can get it to reset? Would it buzz when you try to drain it? Does the door latch lock when it goes into the wash cycle? Usually the door latch locks when it goes into the wash cycle and stays locked. So it filled up, the door latch should lock, then should go into wash cycle. Then you said few minutes later it stops. How did you get the door open? reason i ask is Usually i would see the clothes get stuck inside the washer because the door latch is still locked when it stops. Was the door unlocked when it stoped. If so maybe something going on with the communication from the board to the door latch maybe. Did you try operatin the drain?

It makes buzzing noise and doesnt work

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.
