Water appears at the bottom shelf below vegggie draw, but there is no place above it or elsewhere that is the slightest bit wet, no place from which it is dripping or flowing from that is evident. There is just this recurring little puddle in the front bottom space under the veggie draw. What is going on?

water goes through the drain tube to the back side of the refrigerator so it means that it is not clogged. Why water gathers under the vegetable and fruit compartments?

Hi ,
Maybe this can help (if it is a no-frost type refrigerator )

Try to locate the drain trough, which is located just under the freezer -section panel sepparator ,at the back (in the refrigerator section)
Prey it out ,clean it ,push a flexibile rod in the drain line to unclog then replace the drain trough.

Or look for a drain hole just above the veggie shelfs on the elevated part,Try to unclog it with a proper tool.
If neccessary mail me [email protected]

Internal leak

Wrap a dry towel completely around the outside of the disposal above where you believe its leaking but below any drain. Secure in place with tape and wait. If towel stays dry, then ok its leaking through the bottom bearing and replace unit.

If the towel is wet... keep looking.

Why is it leaking water onto top shelf

Most modern fridges have an automatic defrost that works by draining into a sort of funnel above the back of the top shelf.
The funnel is connected through the back of the fridge to a rubber drain tube that goes down the outside of the back to a heated evaporation tray under the fridge,
The hose and/or funnel can get clogged with disgusting yucky stuff, and the water spills over the top of the funnel onto the top shelf.
The fix is to clean all the bits. It's usually no big deal to take apart.
I have resorted to blowing through the tube from the bottom end and then cleaning up the mess, and brushing my teeth. Quite revolting but, that's the price I paid to become an expert.

Leaking ice maker inside freezer

You didn't say -- was this freezer working correctly for some time before this problem?

It's not unusual for an ice buildup in the icemaker itself to divert water to places it's not supposed to be. The only fix for that is to turn of the freezer (you may have to turn of the refrigerator, too), and completely defrost the freezer. Leave the refrigerator door closed and it will stay reasonably cold. It may take a couple of hours to fully defrost - put some towels in the bottom, as it sounds like you'll have some ice buildup to deal with. You can speed that up a lot with a hair dryer. Just turn it on high, and direct it at the ice buildup, and then concentrate on the icemaker and the area around it.
If you can, inspect the icemaker area and make sure the fill tube is directed into the ice tray, and hasn't gotten bumped or moved so it's pouring water elsewhere.
Once the freezer is completely thawed out and all the water mopped up, start it up again and cross your fingers.

Dishwasher

basic checks:
is water entering into the machine.
is it hot.
is it being heated during pre-wash
is the soap being dispensed
is the pump running when cycling?
do the arms turn freely?

you mentioned the top and bottom shelves. are there places where the dishes 'are' being cleaned?, or are you meaning that in general they are not being cleaned at all?

most of the above indicators are observable by stopping the wash cycle from time to time in various modes.
to see if water is being pumped at all, put a bowl on the top and bottom shelf, and nothing else. if there is water in it after it cycles then the pump is moving at least some water.
start with these observations and please report back
good luck
