My CD writer will not open to insert the CD. What should I do?

    The led does blink when I press the button. The is not CD stuck in the drive.

Hello,

Look for the small hole on the faceplate of the CD or DVD drive. This is the manual release. Straighten the paperclip and insert it into the manual release hole until resistance is felt.

Once the resistance is felt, keep pushing the paper clip until the drawer opens a little.

Remove the paper clip and gently pull out the drawer until the disc is accessible.

Hi,

I suspect that you are using a CD writer and you have possibly inserted a blank DVD into your CD writer. Make sure you have a blank CD inserted instead of a blank DVD.

Look at the drive where you normally eject the disk you will see a pinhole near the button now get a needle or a pin and insert it inside the hole and push slightly and this will eject your disk. You can also open My Computer and right click your dvd drive and select eject.

I tried to reload the SD memory with the original DVD Nokia -Route 66. The SD has been reformatted but reloading does not work. Program cannot find SD memory.
Hi, this comes very late - just surfed inn - but may be help to someone. To reload R66 from your cd/dvd don't download it, follow these steps in stead:
1. Insert the memory card into the memory card reader/writer.
2. Format your memory card in FAT (not FAT32).
3. Insert the CD/DVD into the DVD drive. Select 'Browse Contents' in opened Route66 window.
4. Select and open 'MemoryImage'
5. Select the folder 'R66' and copy it to the formatted memory card.
6. Remove the memory card from the memory card reader/writer and insert it into the Nokia 330 device.
Now it should work, at least worked for me.
