Try uninstalling Norton by going to programs then look for its folder...there should be an uninstall icon then click to run...if you can not find it try the following:
1. click start button
2. click control panel
3. double click Programs and Features
3. look for norton, then double click to uninstall program....

My Norton 360 2008 wont work anymore and when i uninstall it in the end it stops there

Can you post the OS you are using and the background programs running at the time of uninstall?
One better way of uninstalling norton is by downloading this. http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Norton-Removal-Tool.shtml
generally this tool helps greatly to ununstall norton products [working or damaged]. then restart your system and reinstall Norton 360.  If this doesnt help, post me. i will suggest another way.

Windows is telling me i have a spyware infection and a trojan infection but norton wont load and im unable to perform a scan to find this?

I would like more details, such as; What OS, how is Windows telling you this, what is it telling you exactly, the name of the program that tries to load without you asking it to.

I already suspect that you are infected with a trojan horse program, it might be called various names.
One of the more common ones is Antivirus XP 2008. This is a fake program, they only want to get your credit info. Don't give them anything, if you already have, cancel it.

The other symptoms are; that you cannot open the control panel, change your screen background, go to Microsoft Update, as well as many other places.

I have upgraded from Norton internet security suite 2005 to the 2008 edition. My computer keeps freezing up and crashing. I have uninstalled and re-installed the program to no avail. Norton also keeps...

Trojans can be tough to get rid of, the best solution is to reinstall Windows xp, then try installing norton again. Reinstalling windows will rid your computer of whatever program or cookie that contains the trojan. Then norton should take over and keep these forms of malware at bay.
