Isolate from electrical supply.Remove plinth which gives access to drain pipe and pump - drain, remove plug and and any debry, then check that pump revolves freely. Remove top and ensure that the tube connected to pressure swich isnt blocked.

Hi i have a hotpoint aquarius wd440 14000 spin i have flashing lights on the on off and on the drying heat. It is a washer dryer .but I never use the dryer. can somebody please tell me what's

I believe your issue is a blocked/clogged water drain. If your unit appears to drain all of the water at the end of the cycle, you may just need to clean your filter. The machine can sense when it takes too long to drain and it flashes those particular lights to let you know what the problem is.

Samsung WF7700N6W1 washing machine not draining

Could be a sock or something between the 2 drums that moves over the outlet hole from the drum when upright and trying to drain but moves away when machine is on its side. Get a flashlight and look through the holes in the inner drum and you may find the culprit.
A coin may also be stuck in by the pump blade, not always easy to see but worth a look.

Hi our Bosch exxcel washing machine has stopped spinning and doesn't reach the end of its cycle most of the time. If it does the washing is still soaking and needs a new rinse and spin cycle after....

Hi gillsteer,

I believe your drain pump filter is just clogged. The drain pump is trying to pump the water out before the Spin cycle, but can't. Usually this is caused by a foreign object that is obstructing the impeller. See my tip on how to access, drain & clean the Drain Pump Filter:

ACCESS, DRAIN & CLEAN THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER

After this, the Spin cycle will run, after the drainage procedure. If it does not, then you may need to replace the Drain Motor. Which is a easy task.

Kind Regards :-)

Hi. is the front filter on hotpoint wma10 removeable. The machine is not draining properly after cycle but putting it on spin only cycle twice removes most of the water.

Most hotpoint filters are Located under the drum centre ..you need to remove the big sump hose/ clipe off then the filter is inside here . give it a good clean the water test machine for any leaks before using...Good Luck

Hi My Hotpoint WF540 1400 spin is stopping mid cycle and not draining, rinsing and spinning unless I stop the cycle and choose just rinse and spin. Any suggestions? sarah

Probably needs the filter cleaning.
Remove lower rear panel.
Remove large black hose onto drum.
Remove and clean filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for obstruction here and in the pump itself.

Thanks.

Spin cycle not draining

Hi-ya Brian
Probably blocked filter.
To locate and clean, remove rear panel altogether, locate large black hose at bottom of drum, remove from drum, and you will find the filter located inside the hose.
Check drain hose is not blocked also.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

My hotpoint wma56 wont do its fast spin cycle

Have you checked and cleaned the filter on the machine, usually located and the front near the bottom. If so then there is 2 other possibilities, either your water pump at the back of the machine is blocked or faulty, or it's the timer on the machine. A washer won't go into spin mode until it has drained all the water from the machine first. hence the pump has to run. Just remember to drain all the water from the machine before checking your filter otherwise it will end up on your floor.

Washing machine

Normally these spin problems are just a blocked filter, which is located at the bottom of the washer behind a white panel which you can undo with a coin, drain water first, undo plug from hose into a bowl etc then take out filter and clean, hope this helps.
