Avtech solutions inc. has a solution. It's a 5.4GHZ wireless transmitter and receiver which would be about $350.00 The transmitter would attach to the camera, and the receiver to the computer.

You may be able to find these devices cheaper. Good Luck

We have lost the instruction booklet for our camera... please help!

Hi there,

My name is Mike. A couple times a day I go looking around to give some pointers to our clients (you).

Look at it your question from our point of view, it's missing a few key ingredients. Like make and model...
We need a little more info.

More is better:

If you are serious about getting an answer, include Make, Model of the product that's misbehaving ( or need a manual for) and what type of product it is.

Describe your problem clearly, concisely and with as much detail as possible. Include recent events, is it new, used, has it ever worked, do people mess with it, etc. Anything that will help describe the problem.

For future reference:
Often, a problem can be the result of a seemingly unrelated event. It is always a good idea to include a recent history.

Additional information such as what steps have already been taken, has the product ever worked, is it new, etc. can have a bearing on providing the best solution for your particular circumstances.

Remember, you are a key participant in this process. We are not there, you are. We depend on you to be our eyes and ears. We can only respond to what you provide us. Without you, all our talent is worthless. How's that for an ego build?

What you get out of the experience depends on what you put in to it. So help us help you.

It would be also be advantageous in your case to repost your problem so that it is correctly categorized and starts over at the top of the queue. This way it can be directed to someone with expertise in the area you need.

Best regards

Mike

It may have seemed well-lit but, from the camera's viewpoint, it needed some help. You should have set the ISO to a higher number so that hand-held shots would not be blurry and dark.

Need detailed instructions on how turn video around so can see it upright instead os sidesways

This is very difficult to accomplish. You need to use quite sophisticated software for video editing in a computer to achieve rotation of video. As goofy as it sounds, the easiest way to rotate video is to rotate the monitor on which you are viewing. It's not a great solution, but you can't do it in the camera.

Can't upload videos to Imovie

Kodak series cameras capture videos in MOV files. iMovie will only import codecs that it can edit. iMovie can import MP4, DV, Apple Intermediate Codec, H.264, Photo JPEG, Motion JPEG, Apple Animation, and perhaps others. MOV is a multimedia container file, not a codec. It can contain any of the above codecs, but it could contain other codecs that are not editable by iMovie, such as MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 so that sometimes iMovie cannot recognize Kodak videos directly.
please try this video converter, good luck. kodak video to imovie

pny does not supply card readers w/memory cards-sandisk on certain cards includes reader because file format is different on sdhc cards -try downloading direct from camera w/usb or get a card reader that absolutley supports sdhc type cards-not all readers do!

All action shots with S5000 are a complete blur...

I have the S5000 and have found that the shutter lag does present some problem with action shots. You do have to focus on the subject, & then hit the shutter just as it comes into the frame. As to the blur, have you tried shutter priority? I recently took a picture of my cousin's daughter jumping over a dog, & got the action perfectly. (I will be posting it in my gallery shortly - I don't remember offhand what the shutter speed was). Set the shutter speed to at least 1/500, or even faster depending on the subject.
