i m sorry for the late response, i was out of town for the weekend, first of all i would like to thank you for looking into this matter, i have tried to follow the wires(orange) and it is connected properly, but there is no light illumination on at all when the car is on, i wonder if it is a factory defect, but even then my warranty is over, and stupid me, i never bother with it, untill it recently comes on more often and i find it more useful at night with the lights illuminated, thanks for trying, any other suggestions thanksss

hi hogan, it was so nice today, and my order for the back up camera came in, so i did as told, i tried cleaning the connector, and there is no change to the lighting, it's still not illuminating, hmm.. i don't know what else i can do, but i really appreciate your kindness to help the situation. At first i thought it was something wrong with his installation and he didn't wanna bother checking it, but i guess it's a factory defect,
And now for my second problem, i have just installed a back-up camera,( BOYO VTL 400) and i connected as told, but there is no video showing just a blank screen, I was just wondering is it something wrong with the camera or do you think i have to buy a back-up camera from eclipse in order to work? thanks again for your time and effort, hope to hear from you soon, thanks

Check see if your illuminate wire(orange) is connected properly. If it is, you should get a high illumination when your lights are off and low illumination when lights are on.

On the back of your face plate. There are these connectors that make connection with the unit. Try to clean them up really good because sometime they get dirty specially if you removed it alot. Dirty connection can creat all kind of weird problems. Goodluck.

Hi bud, you do have to get an Eclipse brand one to get it working by the deck rear view camera function. If you have a different brand it could still be use if it has rca line out or if you can get an adapter to convert the camera output to rca line and hook that up to the deck video rear input also sometime called aux input, make sure it the yellow rca input line and switch your deck source to rear video to see rear camera video. Let me know how it goes after you try it. Hogan.

I'm putting panasonic cq-c1103u player into 2001 corolla using an adapter plug. I have all the wires connected from plug to player harness, but the is 2 wires left over from the plug, the blue power antena...

unless you have a power antenna or an external amp, all those are extra wires. just cap them off. the orange wire is only used if the radio has an illumination feature that allows dimming on the radio. it is not needed to see the radio. DO NOT connect the blue/white from the radio to the orange of the harness. whenever you turn the radio on it will send 12V to your cars illumination circuit. this could damage your lights, dash lights and maybe the radios output.

What button do I use to retrieve code?

The following procedure will work for RCR311, RCR412, RCR420, RCR612, RCR812, RCR815, D770 and other similar models.

Code Retrieval

Step 1: Press and hold the component key (TV, DVD, etc.) whose code you wish to retrieve. The illuminated ON/OFF key turns on. {Some models like the RCR450 have a LED indicator light in place of the illuminated ON/OFF key.}
Step 2: While holding the device key down, press and hold the INFO key. The illuminated ON/OFF key will turn off.
Step 3: After holding down both keys for 3 seconds, the illuminated ON/OFF key turns back on.
Step 4: Release both keys. The illuminated ON/OFF key remains lit.
Step 5: Starting with the number 1 key, press and release each number key on the keypad in the following order: 1 to 9, then 0. The number that causes the illuminated ON/OFF key to blink is the first number of the code.
Note:
TV codes begin with the number 1
VCR codes begin with the number 2
DVD codes begin with the number 3
Satellite receivers and cable boxes, codes begin with the number 5.
Step 6: Repeat step 5 until you have retrieved all 4 numbers in the code.
Step 7: After the fourth number is retrieved, the illuminated ON/OFF key blinks briefly, then turns off.
Note: To exit the Code Retrieval Mode, press and release the "GO BACK" button at any time.

Hope this helps.

I run my finger over the power button but it wont turn on.

You don't need to run your finger across it, with the red light illuminated, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds you should hear a beep then a blue/green light should illuminated. If you see no light ensue the MAIN power switch on the back is switched on.

Code Search

First try this method as it is the quickest way,

To program a component using the Automatic Code Search method, perform the following steps:
1. Turn on the component you want the remote control to operate. 2. Press and release the component button that corresponds to the component you want the remote control to operate. info.gif The illuminated ON-OFF button turns on and remains on.
aud_remote_on-off.gif 3. Press and hold both the component and ON-OFF buttons. info.gif The illuminated ON-OFF button turns off. 4. After the illuminated ON-OFF button turns back on, release both buttons. info.gif The illuminated ON-OFF button remains on. If you press an invalid button during Auto Code Search, the illuminated ON-OFF button blinks four times and turns off. The last programmed code under that component button is retained. 5. Press and release the PLAY button.
aud_remote_play.gif 6. If, after five seconds, the component does not respond, continue to press the PLAY button every five seconds until the component turns off. info.gif Each time the PLAY button is pressed, the illuminated ON-OFF button blinks ten times while a block of 10 codes is sent to your component. This process continues until all of the codes in the Code Lists have been searched. If the component has not turned off after all codes have been searched, the illuminated ON-OFF button blinks four times, turns off, and the Auto Code Search Entry method is exited. 7. When the component turns off, press and release the REVERSE button, then wait two seconds to see if the component turns on again. info.gif If the component does not respond, continue to press the REVERSE button every two seconds until the component turns on again. This will isolate the correct code in the last block of codes sent. Each time the REVERSE button is pressed, the illuminated ON-OFF button blinks.
aud_remote_reverse.gif info.gif If the REVERSE button is accidentally pressed after the component responds, press and release the FORWARD button. Wait two seconds to see if the component turns off again. 8. To save the new code, when the illuminated ON-OFF button turns off, press and release the STOP button.
aud_remote_stop.gif info.gif If some of the features of your component do not work, different codes in the list can be tried until you find the code that allows the remote to control the majority of your component’s functions.
