Hmmm...when you say the wireless flickers on and off, is that on the belkin unit, or on your computer?

ok..that's a good thing. the wireless will pulse the signal network, on a frequent or infrequent basis. Does it work ok? if not, that means that the signal is going on and off..does it still deliver a signal even when the light is blinking?

also, did you get a user manual with that router, when you purchased it?

ok..so...can you connect to modem directly? I'd like to know if it's just a router issue, or a modem to router signal issue

Belkin G wireless router model F5D7234-4-H V5-wireless issue

Unfortunately wireless routers fail somewhere after the warranty runs out. I have never gotten 5 years out of a router by any different manufacturers. Nothing in the settings except for the hours of operation will stop the router from working. If you have never made the time settings, then the router has failed internally.

Hi, I have a belkin surf F7D2301 wireless router that has been performing wonderfully for about 6 months until the other day when it stopped working out of the blue. No power lights are on and it does not...

Before contacting Belkin to obtain a replacement of the unit, I'd suggest attempting to locate a different AC adapter for your router.
You never know, it may be bad and your router could be fine.
If you can't locate one, or the one you found didn't work, contact Belkin for a replacement.

Belkin router problems

Its not necessary to purchase a new router. Nintendo DS supports WEP encryption. You wont be able to connect if the encryption on the router is WPA. Your computer can connect on both WPA and WEP so what i suggest is for you to access the router page then check the wireless settings then change the encryption to WEP so that your Laptop and DS can connect at the same time. To access your router check the manual for the username and password

Thanks for using Fixya.

I have recently bought a Belkin Wireless Router and I am unable to connect to the Internet on my laptop. What do I need to do to connect my laptop to the internet using the Belkin Wireless router?

your Internet modem or router needs to be connected to the Belkin router's WAN port with an ethernet cable. You'll then need to configure the belkin's wireless settings, it's usually a very easy "follow the prompts" kind of setup.

D-Link wireless router and Belkin Wireless G USB Network adapter

Set your wireless network as a preferred network and to automatically connect to it. Also set it at the top of the list so that it takes precedence. If you continue to get conflicts, change the channel of the router.
