Tips: Don't enter your CREDIT CARD number yet.

You never ever enter your credit Card number in an http website!
But if the web address begins with https://, that basically means your computer is talking to the website in a secure code that no one can eavesdrop on.

What is the difference between http and https.
Maybe you already knew this, but I thought it was important enough to send even if you already know.

The main difference between http:// and https:// is. It's all about keeping you secure.

HTTP stands for Hypertext Transport Protocol.

Which is just a fancy way of saying it's a Protocol (a language, in a manner of speaking)
For information to be passed back and forth between web servers and clients.
The important thing is the letter S which makes the difference between http and https.

The S (big surprise) stands for "Secure".
If you visit a website or web page, and look at the address in the web browser,
it will likely begin with the following:

This means that the website is talking to your browser using the regular unsecured language.
In other words, it is possible for someone to “eavesdrop” on your computer's conversation with the website.

If you fill out a form on the website, someone might see the information you send to that site.

This is why you never ever enter your Credit Card number in an http website!
But if the web address begins with https:// that basically means your computer is talking to the website in a secure code that no one can eavesdrop on.

You understand why this is so important, right?

If a website ever asks you to enter your Credit Card information,
you should automatically look to see if the web address begins with https://.
If it doesn't, there's no way you're going to enter sensitive information like a credit card number.

This means the machine has no program.
Try taking the batteries out, turn key to REG mode, turn power off for 5 minutes, then back on. Put batteries in.

We have a Casio TE-4000 and it was working fine until recently when the number two appeared on the display screen above the area dispying the price / description of the button pressed. It looks like -2-...

Hi. The -2- refers to the PLU level. It means that someone has turned the menu sheet holder over to side 2. Have a look at the number on the plastic frame that holds the rubber cover. If it is 2, turn the holder over to side 1 and the number should go away from the display. While on side 2, the items are completely different from side 1 (this is used for multiple menus e.g lunch and dinner menus).

Hi, I have a Casio PCR-T465. I'm a little stumped as how to change the GST & PST to just HST of 13%. I was wondering if you could help me out. Thanks!

You need to set one rate for HST and change your department links to look at the single rate. Which tax numbers do you use at the moment? E.g. tax1 PST, tax2, GST. We need to know which tax numbers are allocated for which tax types.
If anyone needs a manual for a Casio PCR-T465 cash register,

Driver for sound is missing for toshiba

All Mfgs. have web sites to download drivers for your PC. Type in Toshiba and hit Ctrl+Enter at the same time. Tell that site where you are located. Choose the product (Computers) and on that site you should see a tab for support which should take you to the driver(s) in question. Download them to your desktop and run them following the instructions that should open. This will fix a driver problem. This url should get you close, but you have to choose the exact model: Try that and see if it helps.
