Question about Canon PowerShot SD600 Digital Camera
Canon Powershot SD600 Digital Elph. Was working fine last night. Just turned it on to show someone a picture and it's stuck in movie record mode. Even when I toggle the switch to picture and playback.
It won't record either, just has the little movie camera icon in the corner. I tried removing the battery and memory card and restarting several times. None of the buttons seem to work besides on/off.
Internal microswitch connector has been damaged.so it has been stuck at movie mode ,it can be replaced.

Had same problem and I fixed it by turning it off, taking the battery AND card out for a few minutes and then making sure I had it switched to still mode, put the card and battery back in and turned it on. Working fine again. I suspect it actually does a 'reset' this way so what seemed to be a mechanical issue was definitely a software one ...
