Question about Barebone Systems

Refilled Cartridges I want to refill my ink cartridges. Can I get printer to accept these refilled cartridges? I am aware of warranty information and since this was a very inexpensive printer that does not concern me very much. I have already had my printer for a year.

    I ordered them from 4injet. All were specific for refilling my Lexmark printer. The only one that gives me a hard time is the color cartridge. The black and photo seem to print without bringing up any alerts besides "this is not Lexmark Ink" warning.

    Just clean first the print head, it has to be clean after each refill.

Your cartriage is leaking ink, thats why it comes like.
Replace your cartraige immediatly if you are using a refill, it might not be refilled correctly.
Put the original one it will fix your problem.

I've just put in all new inks and now ther is no comunication from my lap top to the printer. ive turned it off.. and the green light keeps flashing along with the orange intermittently,, Its driving to...

Hi,

I suspect that the reason that there is no communication between your laptop and printer is because the printer will not switch online. This is further confirmed by one of the flashing lights. This is a standard feature if the built-in diagnostics of most current printers tells it that something is wrong.

Since as you posted/described "I've just put in all new inks and now..." was when the problem started, pls verify:
1. the ink cartridges are seated properly at their assigned slots;
2. most ink cartridges when new have a sticker cover of some sort to protect the electronic/contact pins. Pls verify that they were removed;
3. the cover/panel doors are securely lock in place;
4. verify that the USB cable/connectors are attached;
5. you have installed the correct model of ink cartridges, they are original and not generic/replacements/refills;
6. all others are where they should be, paper in tray, slides extended and nothing out of the ordinary;

If your concern has not been corrected after completion of the above procedures, pls post back with the brand and model of your printer. it might be of further help if you can post your laptop's brand & model as well as the operating system.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back as requested, how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

INSTALLED NEW CARTRIGES AND PRINTER WILL NO RESUME PRINTING

hi maggievalley,

I need you to make absolutely sure that you followed the installation procedure of the cartridges correctly. Some manufacturers put a kind of tape on the cartridge when it ships from their factories to prevent ink from leaking out of the cartridge during transportation. This tape must be removed prior to installing the cartridge in a printer to allow the ink to flow out of the cartridge.
I suggest you remove the cartridges from your printer and reinstall them following the new cartridge installation guidelines of your printer's manufacturer step-by-step.

Hope you find this information helpful in solving the printing problem and thanks for using the FixYa service
Kind regards

HP cartrdges are 'BubbleJet'
that is the jets arer part of the cartridge.
These can Block, especially in warm climates.
Take cartrisge out.
Moisten a tissue with water-with some alcahol in its if available
stand the cartridge in it with the jets in the damp tissue for 24 hours
Then re try
Come back if still in trouble

Put compatable ink cartridges in to dx 5050 epson but will not accept message reads not compatable and printer wont work yet manufacturers say they will HELP is needed to get printer running

Hi,
if the cartridges are saying not-compatable, this means the printer has detected non-epson original cartridges.
If you go into your printer preferences, or program. And look if there is an icon or application, that says ** Change A Print Cartridge** if there is, follow the on screen instructions.
If you have purchased the cartridges from a shop/store. they may have not re-charged the chips. ( which informs the printer that they are Full )
Also make sure, the cartridges are firmly pushed into thier slots. a positive click can be felt, don,t be bashful about putting a little pressure on them.

We just attached the macbook to the hppsc 1350v all in one printer and new print cartridges. When attempting to print, message reads"color print cartridge not compatible with this printer". We know we have...

Hi,

Just to confirm pls:
1. the new print cartridges are original HP inks;
2. you have remove the bright pink tape from the ink cartridges;
3. the black is on the right side and the color is on the left side.

You can try removing both cartridges and clean the gold colored contacts where the pink tape was. Pls do the same to the mate pins in the cartridge holder in the printer.

Try again. If this does not be corrective, you may need to change inks again.

Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
