We have a Sanyo CE32LD6-B and it has a problem with the volume control. Trouble is, the warranty expired one week after the 12 month guarantee! The tv ignores volume increase/decrease from the tv remote, satellite remote and the buttons on the set including the stand-by button. It will only work by switching it off/on at the wall. It has happened occasionally throughout the last year but now has done it 4 times in 24 hours.
I have Sanyo TV.
This problem started after I got into a sub menu with choices of volume lock and channel lock.
I accidently set it the volume lock to ON.
I could not go to that menu again.
It seems that this TV has the feature of securing the volume so that the kids can't change it.
Any way to go to the locks sub menu?

You can buy an exact remote from a company called Remote control warehouse for 39.95----Google the model number and you will find them.
It is very common that "universal" remotes will do many functions but not ALL that the original remote did--considering this it may be a good idea to get an original remote---part number on this site is:
6450750977for the remote for this model Sanyo.
I hope this helps you and if you have any questions let me know.
the tda chip you found audio at a pin ...well the Micro-processor controls this chip and might have at the lowest setting or mute... if you dont have a schematic to see the proccessor step controller voltage and measure it then 1: put the remote far in another room. 2 : check the volume down on the front of set and feel the button ...does it click or is pushed all the down?
also you can take out the mute transistor to see if the volume returns.
that is all I can help you with for now my friend.
Try these steps to program your TV:
1. Turn off your device 2. Hold the button of what you want to program (TV,VCR,DVD) until the red LED light lights up 3. Press the power button 4. Keep pressing Channel up/down until the device turns on 5. Press “OK” 6. Press power and volume/channel buttons to check it
If you go too far and hit channel up/down again after it turns on, you missed the right code, so hit the opposite direction of what you were doing until it turns on again, then, hit “OK” to program the right code.
I had this happen on mine after about 3 years. Luckily it was on extended warranty. At first the techs re-soldered the connections to the board for the IR sensor but the problem was still intermittent. The next time they replaced the mainboard and all is well - just like new.
