Follow this procedure to troubleshoot a NO SIGNAL error on the TV screen.

  1. Tune the television to a different channel or input.
  2. NOTES:
    • If the television is displaying the error message on only a few channels or inputs, the issue is being generated by the signal source or a connected external component.
    • Televisions with digital tuners require a signal strength of at least 25% before a digital broadcast will be displayed on the screen.
    • It may be necessary to press the TV, ANT, or AUX button on the remote control to change input back to the television tuner.
  3. Attempt to play a different video source, such as a VCR, through the television tuner.
  4. NOTE: If the error message is not visible when viewing this second video source, the issue is isolated to the signal source being received and no further troubleshooting is necessary.
  5. Turn off the television.
  6. Unplug the television from the AC wall outlet for 60 seconds.
  7. Plug the power cord back into the AC wall outlet.
  8. Turn on the television.
  9. Auto Program the television tuner.
  10. Replace the coaxial cable connecting the video component to the television.

Chances are the CRT has expired. In that case I would recommend replacing the entire unit.

Your problem is in the TV. I'm not familiar with your TV, but you should look for an option to turn it to normal or to try and scan for channels with xbox plugged in and running. I'm pretty sure that if you get HDMI cable, your problem should be solved.

I had my ps3 hooked up to an hd tv but my tv broke and i have it hooked up to an old tv now. I'm having trouble getting a picture or sound is there any way I can configure it to my old tv?

you need a tv with hdmi to connect too then change settings back to normal but you need it connected to both hdmi and component av at once so you can switch between them both to save the settings. so when you change from hdmi to av you need to change your tv channel from hdmi to either video 1 or 2 then save your settings... hope this helps!

make sure you have the correct channel, also if you are using HDMI cable make sure that you use the RCA cable first then switch it to HDMI and then change your TV to the HDMI channel

No picture on tv screen from ps3 console

It may be that,

1:
You have it on the wrong channel.I personally have had trouble with this.Usually on most modern televisions there is AV 1 2 3 4 and 5,CVI,and HDMI 1 2 and 3.Try each of these channels.

2:
You don't have the cords lined up.The three cords(in the order of Yellow White Red) must be lined up straight up and down.Otherwise the sound will be on one channel while the picture will be on the other.

Thats all I can think of,I hope it helped.

Input select sttting

Normally, your TV or VCR is probably set to display the television channels you watch, through a standard cable input. In order to play your Nintendo using the A/V cables, we need to tell your TV or VCR to switch from the normal tv channels, and instead display the signal coming in from the A/V cables of your Nintendo system. There is no one particular way to do this, as it varies between brands, but below is some information that may help.
Quick Tip: Grab the original remote control for the TV or VCR you have plugged your Nintendo into, and look for a button that could be labeled:
  • TV/Video
  • Input Select
  • Line or Line In
  • Source
  • AUX (auxiliary)
  • EXT (external)
  • any other button that seems to indicate it would switch between the TV signal and the game system.
If the above tips did not help, it is possible your Input Select is a little more difficult to locate. Here are some other common ways to access an Input Select:
  • A button on the front of your TV or VCR located behind a door or a hidden panel, or located on the original remote control that came with the device. If you are using a universal remote, it may not work when pressing the "input select" button. If it does not work, try to locate the original remote.
  • A high or low end channel. Try channel surfing through every channel, even the ones that do not normally broadcast a TV show. Many times the input select is a high channel such as 90, 91, 92, 93, 99, or even 999. You should also try low channels such as 0, 00,001, 1 or even 2. For some televisions, you may need to manually select these channels by using the keypad on the TV or remote control.
  • Found within an on-screen menu. Search the menu for words such as Input, Setup or Source. Select one of these words, and another menu will usually appear that asks you to select between TV and either AV, AUX or Line. Select AV, AUX or Line to display the Nintendo game.
If you are still unable to find your input select, you may want to consult the operation manual that came with your TV or VCR, or contact the manufacturer directly.

Stuck on hdmi

Just plug the AV cable in as normal. The PS3 auto-detects the AV cable. Turn your PS3 on first, then your TV. Change the channel on your TV to your AV channel (YPBPR) and it should come on fine.

No picture

A possible solution to your problem could be that the audio and video cords are plugged into different jacks in the television. I have experienced the same problem and i found that by switching the video cord to different inputs on the tv i would eventually have picture. The audio seems to be fine so leaving that cord where it is should be fine. On the remote to his tv there should be an "input" button that changes which components the tv is reading. If you press the input button and the picture appears on the screen but the sound goes away then your 2 plugs for the game console are not in the same channel on the back of the tv. I hope this helps

Nintendo Wii box light is on but no picture or sound from my tv

sometimes just sometimes tvs are funny, some tv's call it a "input select" others call it a "mode" or simply "input" and some dont have any they just want you to goto channel 2 on the tv and go back one more channel.

ushally all these modes are listed on the remote.

is it the origional remote? or is it a universal remote.

try those things above look over the remote again see if anything resembles any of that and if not

list the make and model of your tv and if your using a universal remote we will be able to figure something out for you.

Ps3- hdmi to av

unless there is a switch on the ps3 itself to change to normal tv, you may have to reconnect the ps3 via HDMI and change the screen resolution back to 480p or change the settings in the setup from hdmi to av.
