Read the Billing Meter
The total number of printed pages can be reviewed at the Printer Control Panel, on the Configuration Page, and in CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS).
Three meters are available:
The billing meter counts the number of pages that were printed properly.
1-sided prints, including N-up, are counted as one impression.
2-sided prints, including N-up, are counted as two.
NOTE: During 2-sided printing, if an error occurs after one side is printed properly, it is counted as one.
Color documents converted using an ICC profile on applications with the Color (Auto) setting can print in color, even if displayed in black and white. The data prints in color even if it seems to be black and white data on the Display Screen. In that case, the number of Color Impressions is increased.
NOTE: Grayscale images printed with the composite black setting count as color pages because color consumables are used. Composite black is the default setting on most printers.
When printing automatic 2-sided printing, a blank page can be inserted automatically depending on the settings in the application. In this case, the blank page is counted as one page.
View the Billing Meters: IMPORTANT: The Bill Meters track the total number of pages printed for the life of the printer; it cannot be reset. To view the total number of pages printed:
Press the [System] button on the Control Panel.
Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button until "Billing Meters" is selected, and then press the [OK] button. The Print Volume Report will be printed.
Press the [Down] arrow button to scroll to the required meter. The number of printed pages is displayed below the name.
Press the [Return] button to exit the Billing Meters menu.

Hi, Its really nice that you have already tried your best. I can understand its must be very frustrating. As the printer is printing not printing in black and copying in back it seems to be a hardware issue. Have you tried to change the ink? if no then try it once and if its yes then one last step you can try that is printer reset. Performing a partial reset of the All-in-One Follow these steps to perform a partial reset of your product.
Unplug the power cord from the product, and wait 20 seconds. Press and hold # and 3 while plugging in the power cord to the product. Release the buttons after the product starts up. The product will now be reset to factory defaults. IF STILL IT DOES NOT WORK YOU CAN TO THE FINAL RESET IN ORDER TO DO THAT YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THE SAME PROCESS BUT INSTEAD OF # 3 YOU NEED TO PRESS # 6. wish you a very good luck.
In other make like HP it'll print without colour cartridges. But in this model Epson there is no possibilities of printing without a single cartridge. You may reset the cartridge and use it for printing. But reset process only reset chips.
in a printer to get good black grey contrast etc, color is used
next when you get set to print, press settings and then click on black
make default and ok
Kodak reputation is not universal because it is average quality
Hello, look at what cartridges are being used and what is status indication? There are several things to think about, as follows:
1) Is there a good black cartridge? Many color ink-jet printers will print black using color cartridges if black is out, low, or bad.
2) Can you use a standalone copy mode - if possible for your printer -and get good/correct copy colors (not using the computer)?
2) Have any cartridges been refilled manually? I have done this where I thought I refilled a cartridge with the right color and filled it with the wrong one by accident -oops. Please try different cartridges.
3) Is your printer color problem the same when using any or all programs? If it is and you are sure all the cartridges are OK then use your printer software to reset all the settings to a default factory settings and try again.
