- Still do not know what will work as a replacement in my 9016G combo. The current drive would appear to be an ATA(ide) unit. No identifying model number that I can find

- The Lite_on DH-20A4H does not seem to be fully compatible with the original drive in the 9016G VCR/DVD combo. It does come with software that needs to be installed. It does respond to commands and plays CDs, but it seems to not recognize DVDs, including the software installation disk that came with it. Looks like this is a dead end. Computer Geeks does not sell a direct replacement unit, nor does anyone else that I can find.
I'm still tinkering with it. I did try all positions for the master-slave-cable jumper.
