Error Message My monitor operates perfectly other than an error message that will not disappear. The error message is, "mode not supported" on the first line then, "H:56.4KHZ V:70.OHZ" on the next line. How do I correct this?

You have computer problem, you can easily verify by using this monitor with another PC or another monitor with this PC.
It may be video card driver problem, since the PC was not properly shutdown, it will give you that message "boot in safe mode or normally".

I am getting a message: VIDEO MODE NOT SUPPORTED and not able to get any other screen besides this one.

Hi,
This message ususally appears when a certain program has a requirement to run it. And if your display does not meet that, that is the time you will get this error message. Try to check the requirement of the software that you are installing and check your display information on the comptuer see if its conaptible.

Thank you for using Fixya. Your REcommendation is highly appreciated for the free support.

Emachine monitor (eview 15l, model 568) will only show a ''VGA NO Support'' message. Menu button also not cooperating. Computer works well with a different monitor. Fixable?

I have the same monitor and get the same error message. To fix it I went to
"Display Settings" then
"Advanced Settings" then
"Monitor tab" and set the refresh rate to 75 Hertz Then go to
"Adapter Tab" and select list all modes
Find a setting with 75 Hertz mode and and the resolution you want
and select Accept Good luck!

To term in the computer is the refresh rate of the monitor. Depending on the operating system it is done a couple different ways.

Right mouse click on the desktop and choose properties or personalize (depending on your OS). In windows xp click on the last tab to change the resolution. Click on apply then click on advanced, the monitor tab, to change the refresh rate.

In Vista, click on Display Settings to be able to do the above.

Will not display output from Computer

Probably the video resolution or the monitor Refresh Rate (eg: 50/60/75 Hertz) is set too high in the operating system, which over-drives the monitor electronics and it is unable to display anything.

If you restart the computer manually (hold in the power button for 5 seconds, the computer will shut off, turn it back on again) you will see the normal BIOS and Windows startup display on the monitor, but then as Windows completes it's startup it returns to the error message you see.

To fix this, restart the computer manually and start the computer in Safe Mode. To do this press F8 just before the computer starts to load Windows, and choose Safe Mode. Once in Safe Mode, you should see the monitor working correctly.

Now restart the computer in Normal Mode and everything should be fine.
