Daewoo IRT20A5T Tv comes on and off without stabilizing
When the tv is powered, the power recycles between on and off without stabilizing. I suspected the flyback transformer because it is producing a spark ,but changing it does not solve the problem.I have traced for any posssible short cct,but have not seen any. Please i need a solution!

The problem could be temperature related. I replaced both my processor board as well as the power supply board and the problem is still there BUT I found a VERY simple solution that just requires me to keep the TV on all the time. When the TV is at room temperature, it literally takes 10-15 minutes for the system to stabilize and provide a good picture and audio. When my basement was at 55° for a few days, it took over 1 hr for the TV to stabilize. I now switch the input to my Roku player input and leave the TV on all the time. The Roku screensaver kicks in and all is fine with the world. No more issues with the TV not working. It adds to my electric bill but it is cheaper than replacing another board. When the TV dies, I'll get a replacement TV.
I have this model of the sharp tv.Happen to me very often the Power and OPC LED light indicators blink continueosly. Not the power supply board,it the Tuner board that take in the comming broscast signal that have the problems. You still can used this tv.Push the power button sometime the tv it will work right away. Not,each time POWER and OPC lights continueosly blinks.Just push the power button again each time the POWER and the OPC continueosly blinks.Just have push power button again about 4 times each time Power and OPC blinks recycles,it will finally show the backlight and picture come on.My guest,if u do this by pushing power button to recycles about 10-12 times each time the POWER and OPC blinks it time to change the Tuner signal board.
The problem may be limited to a blown fuse which may not be accessible from outside the set.
Removing the back cover isn't normally a tough job and any fuse would be close to where the power comes in.
I recommend pulling the AC plug overnight since there are components inside that can retain dangerous charges for hours.
If it is not defective (if clear glass, a flashlight will help seeing it), then the failure is probably in the power supply and this may require a professional to troubleshoot.
If you own a multimeter and want to try to locate the failure, post back to this thread and I will give you some guidance.
