Axion 7 inch DVD "Travel Theater" loading issue....travel theater....hmm...
I have an Axion 7" portable DVD player. When I power it up and put in a DVD, the loading screen appears and it stays. I can hear the motor running and it sounds to me like it's getting up to speed and then hitting the brakes, only to ramp up again. Over and over and over. I almost to the point of trying to "fix" it with an anvil and a 3 lb. sledge hammer. Any ideas?
I have the exact same problem. It appears the motor on the track that moves the laser is malfunctioning. If I push the laser over to one side, it stays put.
If I push it over all the way to the side, the screen reads, "No Disk", meaning it can read the disk when it is in place but that the laser is not moving or tracking on the DVD/disk.

I am having maintaining power problems with my PD040922 when I try to use it the system clicks and goes back to LOADING option. I have tried to work through this problem by removing battery and just have mains power connection. Then I just use fully charged battery with the same problem occuring. Is there a solution, other than buying a new player?
Try another DVD. If problem persists and it does not work with any type of DVD, whether recordeable burnt DVDs or original pressed DVDs then your unit is bad - either dirty lens or the laser diode is bad.
it can be reapired , simply a case of replacing the lcd screen, the harder thing may be finding a lcd screen, contact the manufacturer, and they should be able to direct you to their closest authorised service agent. good luck.
not good, the unit will cost more to fix than replace. The only thing that might help is if it has a removable battery, if so take it out and leave it out for an hour, & try again. You might try using the power cord instead( I dont think it will help but try it before you toss it out)
First clean the laser diode in the player. Next, are you using burned DVD's or legit ones? Players are not all built the same and neither are DVD's. The cheap DVD's have a cheap medium that a lot of players will not read. Some players will read just about anything you throw in them but quite a few are pretty picky. If you are burning DVD's, make sure they are compatible with your player. Some will play DVIX, MPEG4, others won't. I suggest you get one of those cheap "netbook" computers. Fill up an external hard drive with everything you can download and you will be in business. I think netbooks are going for around $400. They are small, screen size 7-9 inches, and would be the thing to get. They come with up to a 160Gb Hard drive too.
