I have Acer Ferrari 4003 WLM. Yesterday suddenly my computer hanged and when i restarted it, its windows won't start. It gives blank screen after the setup logo. I tried to use recovery CDs but it gave me the following error message. "File\i386\system32\ntoskrnl.exe could not be loaded The error code is 4. Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit." I am very confused so plaese help me with this regard.
Does the recovery CD give you the option to format your C drive? If not, you can try to get hold of a windows XP disk to do this.
Otherwise you might need to swap your hard drive
the only other thing you could try is to download the disk diagnostic utility from the hard drive manufacturer's website, you need to look at what hard drive you have (western digital, seagate etc) and go to their homepage, go to support and download the diagnostic tool. you will probably need to burn it to a bootable CD, boot from it and then get it to scan your hard drive and repair it.
It's easier to buy a new HD though.

I have tried using other windows xp disk but it get stuck after coping the files to my hard disk. So u r suggesting me to buy a new hard disk ?? Is there any other way to do it ??
