Laptops are ideal for business and personal use by its
compact size and capabilities. Bluetooth technology in combination with a
notebook PC extends its use and effectiveness. The Acer TravelMate 2420 comes
equipped with Bluetooth and can be functional in a few steps.

1. Download Bluetooth driver in the Resources section.

2. Follow the instructions to install the driver for your
Acer TravelMate 2420.

3. Press the "Bluetooth Communication" button on
the front of the computer. The button is located on the left side of the
"Wireless Communication" button. The light will remain lit to
indicate that Bluetooth is ready to run on your computer. There will also be a
Bluetooth icon visible on your screen.

4. Prepare your paired Bluetooth device. Acer TravelMate
2420 is ready to connect to your Bluetooth device.
On the front edge of the laptop by the right speaker, there is a switch just left of the speaker. That is the wireless switch, to the left of that switch is another and that is the bluetooth radio switch. Below is a link to the service manual that goes over every aspect of your laptop.
I long + 3 short beeps or 3 short + 1 long beeps indicates memory problem.
The RAM module/s may need reseating to re-establish proper electrical contact.
If it still doesn't boot up then :-
Get the RAM module/s may be faulty, test the module/s in another laptop or get your friendly computer shop to test them.
Go to system in configuration. In your hardwarelist; throw away your sound drivers. Then you can do two things 1st: restart computer, while having a internet-connection, or 2nd: go to searching hardware in configuration and choose internet driver search.
Watch out that you haven't switched off the screen by accident. One of the function key combinations toggles between the built-in screen and the VGA socket on the back or side panels to allow the use of either an external monitor or video projector. The key combination toggles three ways: 1) internal screen, 2) external VGA, or 3) both. On my Acer Travelmate 2200, the key combination is <Fn> + <F5>. Please try this first.
