Catch a Call Id

I received this "Catch A Call ID w/Call Block" today. After connecting everything properly (and re-checking it about ten times), I get nothing but static on the telephone line. This makes my telephone unusable. Can you Help ME??

I am trying to find a solution for any of my buyers who are having these issues. My connection works with no problem. I dont know why but some are having issues like this?

If the line noise goes away when you unplug the USB cable, that would point
to the computer not being properly grounded and/or having a minor ground
short in the USB port. Since the Catch-a-Call connects the USB port to the
phone line, the ground short is putting noise on the line. If your not
specifically using the unit for its on-screed caller ID function, you can
just unplug the USB cable and not worry about that line noise. Otherwise,
there is nothing that you can do, besides fixing the faulty ground
connection itself. If the noise is only a background hum, it is probably a
bad ground connection in the computer itself. If the noise is loud and
prevents using the phone, the ground fault is probably in the main
electrical system, between the electrical outlet and the ground itself.

Our caller ID has stopped working and this has nothing to do with our monthly ATnT service

The caller ID facility is an optional facility provided by your Operator and this needs to be activated from operator side in order to show in customer's Called ID device.
Please check it with any other line that has the same facility activated.

A call to an outside number? You cannot. The phone company traces everything. Do you want to block your caller ID?

Polycom SE225: my verizon line provide caller id does not displa

Due to the age of the SoundPoint Pro, it some of its features are not compatible with newer phonesystems, such as CableVision. There are no software updates for the SoundPoint Pro, and as long as the Caller ID is enabled there are no other settings or adjustments that can be made to workaround these kind of problems unfortunately. I recommend contacting your service provider to see what kind of caller ID signaling they are using; most likely they will be using a newer digital system, or MDMF which is not backwards compatible with SDMF or earlier CID receivers.

Fax-like noise when answering catch a call!

If you have a catch a call max, this happens because the catch a call is too sensitive to the phone company's signal, you can lower the sensitivty of the catch a call by dialing ###3. You can get the catch a call max manual here

You need to create a call group for transfering. Secondly, you need to configure the caller id within the fxo module.
