I also think this is the only solution .
Please tell me the procedure how do I disable the on-board sound card.
Also tell me which sound card is best according to my motherboard 810E.

  • Sibworld Mar 14, 2008

As you have said before I had installed new internal sound card at PCI slot and disabled the on board audio.
    My new audio is :
Audio Adapter Yamaha DS-XG Audio CODEC

Now the problem is that when I play music, movies it plays for few minutes say 4 minutes and then there is no sound from the speakers. Also Windows Media Player is not playing any audio flies and it hangs after some time.
When I restart the computer the sound comes and then again after few minutes sound goes away.

Try this , Plug in your speaker to your desire sound card. If it is BUilt in Maybe AC97. If is an add-on then you plug it on the add-on sound card.

and then go to control panel ..see pictures,...

Some systems do a speaker autodetect - and if your speakers are not powered on when the system boots, the sound may not function until a reboot

Another possible issue could be due to bad drivers that sometimes load, and sometimes not. I usually find that Microsoft's drivers are less than ideal, and in many cases just may not work. And onboard sound may not work properly if the chipset drivers are not loaded as well. Did the machine or motherboard come with a CD? If so, put it in and let it run to install all of the drivers. If not, we need to determine the exact model of motherboard to find where we can download the drivers from. On the motherboard there should be either a model number and version silkscreened onto the board itself, or a label, generally with a bar code as well as numbers. Sometimes this label is on the board itself, and sometimes it can be on top of one of the headers for USB or the parallel port if it has one. Post these numbers or any other model information you can find.

Your original post indicates that the sound driver is from Microsoft, and I thought that may be the issue. However, I now have found quite a few people who are having the same type of sound problem with their Intel motherboard based 810E computers. So the best solution might be to disable the on-board sound (let me know if you need instructions to do that and I'll provide them), and put a PCI sound card into a free slot on the computer. This will almost certainly work, and you will also get better audio sound!

To disable the on-board sound, you have to enter the bios when the machine first starts up. On most standard motherboards you press the "Del" key, though some use the F2 or F10 key. When you turn the computer on, the first text only screen you see should list the key on the bottom, if the Del key is not the one.

Once in the BIOS, the sound is usually listed under the "Intergrated Peripherals" section. Just set it to disabled, save your settings and exit.

You can probably get a decent Soundblaster sound card for $25 or less at any local computer store. You can also order from the web, for example, here's one at Newegg for $19:

Intel d865perl sound card drivers

left click this link & choose you're operating system for the Intel D865PERL motherboard drivers. (Reinstall the driver software).
For windows XP/home & pro. Click on this link;*+XP+Home+Edition&lang=eng&strOSs=45&submit=Go%21
After reinstalling the software & you're sound does not seem better than the built in sound chip may be going bad.
Other factors can also cause the effects you are having. Run windows system defrag. Also run windows Disk cleanup. These tools are found in windows System tools. Lastly you can buy & add a PCI sound card into an emty PCI slot to bypass the built in sound card. If you choose to do this you will need to enter the bios & disable the built in sound device.

Good Luck!

Audio driver installation failed from mother board cd

The most common solution was this: open device manager click "system devices" disable "microsoft UAA bus driver for high definition audio" uninstall "UAA bus driver" make rescan devices (Note: Not all had this step. You may want to skip it.) D.W. install realtek driver the realtek driver includes the UAA driver too.Hope this helps.
