Question about Computers & Internet
I have a P-III 833 MHz PC with 128 MB RAM. I want to install a LAN card in order to use the broadband service provided by BSNL. Iam based at Rourkela in Orissa. The local vendors have been unable to install a LAN card properly. What brand or configuration do I use and how do I install it?
I hope u must have done with ur problem.But suddenly I came across it.Rourkela is my favorite place I like it very much.Plz reply me back u want a friendship.

Hi if you try USB port to conect you broadband .setup your modem properly ........you ask JTO or near bsnl office how to setup bsnl ip config....1st have you bsnl driver if yes
then your bsnl modem is setup properly you usb port.....
or you try to setup lan card buy a tech-com lan card then open your
cabinet setup PCI Slot then restart pc ..open your cd driver setup lan driver.....add new hardware........setup properly.....

U can use any brand . there's no problem in that . installation procedure is very simple. just buy a pci lan card. Insert it in the pci slot. Then switch on your computer , insert the driver cd provided with your lan card , then install the appropriate drivers.
Then, you can connect BSNL Broadband by connecting your ADSL modem with your LAN card.

Min System Requirements for Tom Tom Navigator are as below:-
Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or Windows 7 (newest servicepacks required)
Pentium III or higher
256 MB RAM, 512 recommended
Internet connection (Broadband - DSL/cable/LAN) for downloading updates, maps or services
The TomTom HOME software is a 20MB download requiring 50MB of disk space when installed
For NAVIGATOR 6 devices, the system requirements for Windows are:
Windows XP, 2000, Vista or Windows 7 (newest servicepacks required)
500 MHz processor or better
128 MB RAM
Internet connection (preferably broadband - DSL/Cable/LAN) for downloading updates maps or services
