Okay the same dang thing happened to me and i do have an answer but make sure you keep this in mind in the future the most likely reason that happened was while the action replay was saving you turned your game off don't do that i did it twice and well it sucks big time but in case you do it again save this to your desktop by copying and pasting on a notepad okay! the fix is simple: Try resetting the hardware by following these steps:
1/ With the console powered off, hold A+B.
2/ Power up the console while still holding A+B.
3/ As soon as the Nintendo screen is displayed, before our screen stating this product is not endorsed by Nintendo, press and hold Start and Select while keeping hold of A+B.
4/ Continue to hold these buttons until the Main Action Replay screen is displayed, then release. Your product is reset, and will accept codes once more.

also afterwards you need to know a game id ill give you my metroid game's click add new game and type in a letter or two randomly and click the next button thingy then type in

AMHE-187B29B5 and click next after that have your game in the action replay and start the game up as soon as you see your games beginning credits you can switch off the ds and it will then be able to be updated!

also after you fix your ds spread this on forums like this one as answers to people's questions so that other people won't spend forever finding an answer like we did!

To delete a code for action replay go to the code and press the icon of a eraser, and maybe you have a lot of codes for action replay, to delete the pokemon account press all the buttons on the place where it says new game or continue.

Put your Action replay card into your DS. Hold A+B, then turn on your DS. When the DS logo pops up, hold down start+select while still holding down A+B. Wait until the action replay logo pops up, then release the buttons. Try to load games onto your action replay via the PC again. It should work.

My action replay doesn't recognise codes in pokemon pearl

you may need to reset the Action Replay. This will delete all your saved codes though, so it's only recommended if your desperate. First boot up your console holding the A and B buttons, then once the Action Replay says "This product is not licensed or endorsed by nintendo" hold down the START and SELECT buttons. After this the normal screen should show up, but with no codes. THen you sohuld re-enter the codes you want and it should work. Hope this helps!

What does it mean when action replay is unable to download codes because it does not have enough space to write a file?

sounds like your action replay device might be to full, try deleting some files off of there to free up some space and then try to download again.

My AR says my pokemon diamond has a different code then usual

Same thing happened to me, the problem could be that the game code was entered wrong into the Action Replay, there are a few things you could do about it. You can take out you Action Replay Code Manager CD and delete the game and re-enter it. Or if you don't have the Code Manager CD, go into the internet and look up the code for Pokemon Diamond Version, and fix it on your Action Replay.

Good Luck!

My action replay code manager is empty and I want to add pokemon

You need to restart your action replay.

to do this follow these steps.

1. hold A and B while turning on your DS.

2. at the Nintendo screen hold start and select.(still holding A and B.)

3. Let go when the screen saying, nintendo dose not''blah blah'' this product.

4. Turn off when you see the action replay title screen.

Once restarted try and add a code.
I had the same problem, but i did the above.
