sansa media converter does not say that the sansa e260 is connected, although it is 100% connected to the port, and there is no problem with the connection, because windows media player says that my sansa e260 IS connected, is there anyway i can get sansa media converter to work? i already restarted, and i can't find the original cd, so i can't repair it or reinstall it.

What extra device do i need to transfer photo`s to my sansa?

first off you need a converter program from here
http://www.sandisk.com/driverdownload/download.asp?driverID=184
then install that then
  1. Hook up your Sansa MP3 player to your computer with the USB cord. This cord has one flat end that inserts right into the bottom slot of the player. The other squarish end goes into your computer's USB port.
  2. Choose "Sansa Media Converter" from the options that pop up automatically when you complete the connection to your player. Find media that you want to convert to your MP3 player by clicking on the "Add Media" button in the converter. Once you have the media you want in the box, click "Convert" to convert the media and download it to your player
hope this helps a bit

My sansa media converter did not detect my sansa e280

Set the device to MSC mode (default is Auto) in the USB properties on the Sansa device. This worked for me with a Sansa Fuze on Windows XP running Sansa Media Converter 1.0. Hope this helps.

How to put pics on the sansa

TRANSFER PHOTOS
To transfer photos to your Sansa c240:
1. Open Sansa Media Converter on your PC
2. Connect Sansa c240 to the computer.
The detected Sansa c240 will list the available space and total space on the device. If more than one
device is inserted, only the first device will be supported.
3. Add the media files to be converted and transferred to the device.
4. Press “Convert” button to start the conversion process and transfer all of the files in the selected
media window and output them using the parameter setting for each media type. A convert status
box will appear showing which file(s) are being converted and the percentage of that file along with
all of the files.

I don't know how to load music from the internet to my new mp3

the best way for that is to read your manual.

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Windows XP SP1
Windows Media Player 10
Intel1.gif Pentium class PC or higher
CD-ROM drive
USB 2.0 port required for hi-speed transfer
CONNECTING AND TRANSFERRING
Connect to your Computer
1. Connect the small USB Cable Connector to the USB port on your computer, and then plug the larger
Cable Dock Connector in to your Sansa c200 port.
2. Once connected to computer, it should be detected by the operating system automatically and is
shown as an additional drive called “Sansa c200”.
SANSA MEDIA CONVERTER
You will need to use Sansa Media Converter to transfer photos to your Sansa c200. Insert your SanDisk
CD and select Sansa Media Converter to install it to your PC. Then you can load your personal photos
onto your Sansa c200 by using Sansa Media Converter.

TRANSFER MUSIC
To transfer music to your Sansa c200:
1. Connect Sansa c200 to the computer.
2. Drag and drop files from your computer to Sansa c200 by using a variety of music software
programs to transfer/synchronize your files.
3. In MTP mode as long as the files are WMA or MP3, they can be dragged into the Media folder.
Otherwise, they can be dragged into the Data1.gif folder (these files will not appear on the player).
4. In MSC mode, files/folders can be dragged/copied to the device.

Sansa media converter will not recognize my mp3 player

The Media Converter will only recognize the device in MSC mode.

Make sure it is on this mode and try all of the USB ports on your PC. If that doesnt work, try uninstalling and re-installing the Media Converter.

Best of Luck.

If you are using a front USB port on your computer, try using One in the rear that is connected directly to the motherboard. It worked on mine!
