My only idea is that there could be a factory amplifier that isn't getting juice. Go to installdr.com and they have the harness pinouts under "quick radio wiring info" in pdf format. Best of luck.

How to install supco receptacle kit

You turn power off to the unit at the breaker. Unscrew the one or two screws that hold it on with a philips screwdriver. Cut both wires on the old one close to the box of the bad part. You need to splice the 2 sets of wires together, normally using porcelain wire nuts to insulate the raw wire or if it comes with shrink tube, install the tub on one wire before you twist the raw wires together, then slide the tube over your splice and heat it with a lighter evenly until the tubing shrinks covering the raw wire.

Sounds like a bad ground. Try reattaching it first. Double check any splices also. And the source for the amp, if you tied on to speakers or spliced, double check it.

Is a special "powered" module

I would use a Curt 56024 T-Connector Kit. This lets you connect the wiring kit without needing to splice any wires.

My brother has a 94 Bronco, we had the same problem upon installation of the new transfer case motor. In our case, all we did was liberally coat all moving parts of the transfer case motor with grease.

Your installation kit should come with a plug and play connector for you vehicle. If not, buy one. No cutting wires or splicing. Sooo much better.

Installing an aftermarket head unit into a 1994 Ford Bronco

are you using and after market harness to go from your bronco to the harness to the new radio. if so make sure all the colors are matched up (e.i. purple to purple, purple/black to purple/black). did the speakers work before the aftermarket unit. Also check the wiring at the oem speakers

Stereo Upgrade in 1997 Sentra

hi there. I am not sure about the speakers. But there is a wiring harness available for a aftermarket head unit. I have a '97 sentra the base model XE version. I have just put in an alpine head unit and you defenately hear the difference even on factory speakers. But you will need 2 kits to install an aftermarket head unit in the car. 1. A dash kit. I got mine from canadian tire for about 20 bucks, it comes with instructions on how to put it together and its straight forward, just make sure u get the one for your year and make of car.

2. The wiring harness. there available at mostly every car audio place for about 10 bucks. again make sure u get the one for your year make and model of car. installing this is difficult so unless your good at electronics get it professionally installed. you have to splice the wires into the back of the aftermarket unit, then the plugs plug right into your existing factory car harness.

hope this solves your problem, the dash kit is easy to put together and install into the car, but the wiring harness is a bit difficult, i had my harness installed for about 40 bucks and u save money if u put the dash kit togehter yourself because thats 1 less thing they have to do. good luck.
