Replace the connection box

Is there an upgrade box to replace the original one? There is no hdmi connection only componet cables. Also is there a owners manual to download. Thanks

I see in the owners manual it shows a hdmi connection, but its not there on my tv. I have 2 tvs one connected to hdmi and the other to thru componet and I must say both look good, but the hdmi looks better. More like 3d. One would have to think that in order to add the hdmi you would have to change out the main board and maybe some other parts. Im not really sure though.
I was hopeing that I could pull the old box off and add a new box, but the manual shows the hdmi is not part of the box at all, but by the pc connection on the back of tv.. They must have made more then one variation of this tv. thanks

    Hi,

    No problem buddy.

High definition is always the best output signal where lcds and Plasmas are concerned.

It appears that they made 2 or maybe 3 varients.

and Obviously different price ranges, you may be able to get a replacement-upgrade on the set.

Happy-viewing whatever you decide to do.

I'm pretty sure that pretty much no Tv's have an upgrade to HDMI.

While looking for a manual I noticed that the version on the maxent website does have a HDMI possibility.

WD-65734, cable DVR, audio receiver and digital remote: picture goes black for 1-20 seconds and then returns, but audio is stable. Status led and lamp led are NOT on. Any suggestions? Thanks,

well are you using an hdmi cable, cause if you are there is a known issue with the communciations where it will lose communication if you reremove the hdmi cable then turn the box off slide the cable back into the box then turn the box back on it should restore the pic and audio just fine. if this is your fix then its one of three things a faulty hdmi cable or an out of date hdmi cable meaning the version is no longer support for the video production. or it's the hdmi output on the cable box. or it's a poor seat/faulty hdmi input on the tv. easy fix is try to replace the cable or use componet cables (red/blue/green) if this is not the setup of your tv/cable box then i will need more info.

I have a samsung 56 inch dlp tv. The audio on the hdmi only works about 10 percent of the time. Any suggestions, I talked to a local electronic store and they said that the hdmi needed to be upgraded.

If you have replaced cable, and it does it on all hdmi inputs, Then it's the hdmi ic on the main logic board. The hdmi ic's are smdi ic's and are hard to replace. Might be easiest to get a new main digital board. You can componet input it has the same resolution as hdmi, You can use that.

I have a pioneer vsx-30 with hdcp error on the face i see it when a scientific atlantic cable box is connected through a componet connection

Component cables don't have the ability to carry decrypted HD info.

HDCP is "High Definition Copy Protection"...In theory, it prevents you from running the HDMI cable out of your receiver, and into a recording device, thereby recording HD content without a license for it.

HDCP handshaking is done between devices that run HDMI, or DVI.

If you're running component from your Cable box, and then HDMI out to your TV, then the content you're carrying from the Cable box may not be getting decrypted properly when it gets upscaled onto the HDMI port from Component.

IT could also simply be that you're using an HDMI 1.1 or HDMI 1.2 cable, which may not be able to carry the high bandwidth stream of your Receiver and TV.

Please be sure that all HDMI devices can support the same HDMI version, and also be sure your HDMI cable is labled "HDMI 1.x compliant". . .e.g. if your TV and Amp support HDMI 1.2, make sure you're also using an HDMI 1.2 Cable.

The tint keeps changing from a red base to a green base and back again, what could be causing it

Hi Check the componet cables, especially if you are using HDMI connectors. Also if you are using a cable box disconnect if from the tv and run the cable signal directly to the TV to see if problem persists. If all cables are connected tightly and secure, then replace the main digital board.

what is the problem not enough connection areas usually you would connect your VCR to your cable box and set channel three on your cable box for the VCR then using one of your other inputs from your TV for the dvd player . Is your DVD player HDMI or Componet?

HDMI connection???

Hi Greg,
Again, if you have a high definition dish box with HDMI output, and a dvd player with HDMI output, please connect them both directly to your TV HDMI inputs.
When watching TV(dishnetwork box).remember to switch the HDMI video inputs.
Same as your DVD player, you need to switch it under your TV video input.

No right channel audio when using HDMI connection to HDTV

Since it is easier to replace, I would go with the cable box first. Sometimes there are software upgrades for the TV's that fix such issues but, almost all HDMI issues are with the cable box not the tv.
