I have an RCA F36668YX51 (36" TV). My TV scrolls thru different option menus for no apparent reason! The problem is definitley worse after the set has been on for a while! If I leave it off for a couple of days it seems to clear up for a day or two....then the problem will randomly return! Could this be a problem with the control panel...or possibly be initiated by low voltage on the electrical circuit it is pluged into? Your input would be greatly appreciated! I would also like to find out where I could download a service manual for free! Or find out what the part number is for the control panel!
the front panel assembly is rca part # 237420
I assume your chassis is a CTC203
Un plug the fpa and see if problem still acts up
you may not be able to find one
then try replacing the sticking buttons on it
I cant help you with a free manual
call Tritronics and ask for all the buttons on the fpa
low voltage wont cause this
but cool-aid poured on the screen will... LOL

METHOD" presse TV1 and SET button light on remote is steady enter code ...light goes out.. PRESS SET again and try. Keep trying unhtil unit can be turned on or off, then you know you have the right code. Write it on the back of the TV incase it drops out which can happen.
I Do not know this make/ mod but this type of fauly is due a short on the ht line causes are a faulty line flyback tranistor( emitter/collector sc) Another possible cause could be a faulty line flyback tranfromer. parts might be obtainable from seme/nedis on www.semenedis.com
Sanyo has two parts distributors in the U.S. Both are listed below. You'll need to contact the one closest to you and inquire about purchasing a replacement manual. In the meantime, if you're just trying to program the channels into your TV, you need to bring up the TV's menu and select the screen that has the channel or setup options. All TV menus follow the same general format: you should see icons or words going across the top of the screen or down the left side indicating the different menus that are available. On some older TVs you have to press the menu button more than once to cycle through the different menus. Each menu has different options such as picture options (brightness, color, tint, etc) audio options, setup options, and channel options. Use the arrow keys on the TV remote to manipulate what you see once the menu is on the screen. Once you find the channel options, you need to perform what's called a channel scan. On the screen it may say auto scan, auto program, or channel scan. Once you start the scan, you're done. The TV will scan for all available channels and the menu will disappear once it's finshed.

Unplug the power from the set for 1 minute. Then plug it back in. I bet your sound will return. You may have to do this once a year to avoid an expencive repair. You are rebooting the tv, not much different from rebooting a computer that gets locked up. If that does not work then check in the tv menus and make sure speakers are on, and SAP is off. If still ng then make sure the volume is maxed on your cable box and 1/2 way up on the tv.
In the menu one of the first options is language. If it is in spanish you may have to get someone that reads spanish to tell where this option in the menu is. Most new remote hand units have up and down and side to side arrows. Clicking the right side arrow usually will make selections, When you get to english if there is a select button or enter in the middle of the arrows, push that button if english is high-lighted or underlined or different color.
You have a problem in the video circuit. Any video that comes into the set is not getting to the picture tube. The menus come from the system control microprocessor. This shows that the input at the picture tube itself is working. Also you system control is working.
The signal would have to be traced through the set to find out where the loss is originating.
