I experienced the very same problem twice. The red led would either stayed on all the time when charger was connected or it blink whenever I'd push the power button on the phone, but the phone would not turn on. My solution was to unplug the charger, take out the battery and the sim, keep them separated for at least 48-72 hours, then put back the battery, connect the charger again (don't use your computer's usb port, use a real wall charger, preferably the original one), turn on the phone. If it doesn't turn on immediately, let it charge for a few hours and then try to turn it on. I revived this phone twice using this method, first time I thought I was just lucky, but apparently it's reproducible.
If your BlackBerry gets covered in water, act fast and rationally, and you may be able to save your device.
1. DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ON 2. Pull out the battery. 3. Please your device and battery into a bowl of uncooked rice to absorb any moisture. 4. Please it in a warm, dry place where it can receive direct sunlight. 5. Be patient. It is recommended that you leave it in there for at least 48 hours. 6. After 48 hours, put the battery back in and power on.
To search for a code for your TV: On the remote control, press TV once. Press and hold SET until the LED (red light) blinks twice, then release SET. Enter 9 - 9 - 1.The LED will blink twice. Aim the remote control at the TV and slowly alternate between pressing POWER and TV. Stop when the TV turns off (after pressing POWER). If the device does not have a Power key, you can substitute another function, such as digits 0 ~ 9 , CH+, or PLAY). NOTE: In the search mode, the remote control will send IR codes from its library to the selected device, starting with the most popular code first. To lock in the code, press and release SET.The LED will blink twice. To search for the codes of your other devices, repeat steps 1 through 5, but substitute the appropriate device key for the device you are searching for. Hope this helps. :}
I have the same problem. What I did several time is to actually shut down the phone, remove the battery and leave it like that for several hours (3 to 4 hours). Then, I put the battery back in the phone, and it would charge again. However, due to the long time with no battery, the phone's clock would be reset to January 2007.
I found no other work around right now. However, I have to do this more and more often, almost once a week ...
