I got a two day gold pass and a xbox 360 i also got tmobile broad band internet on my pc so how do i get started with xbox live without an adapter or do i need an adapter

Requires a Router/Switch
(2) ethernet cables

Using your PC as the main Internet Provider, connect one cable from the PC's ethernet jack to the WAN jack/port of a router. Next hook up your XBox to one of the wired 1-4 jacks/ports on the same router with the other ethernet cable.

I have the E 74 error how do i fix it?

Hi,

Basically, this problem is caused by overheating, which is often an issue with most high-powered electronic devices.
As heat levels rise inside your Xbox 360 the connection between the motherboard and the video scaler (HANA/ANA) chip is damaged due to the expansion and contraction of the metal connectors.
Once you have experienced the red ring of death e74 once on your Xbox 360, it will continue to happen over and over again until you fix the problem permanently.
The process of repairing the Xbox 360 red light e74 involves opening up your console, removing the hard drive and disk drive (as these get in the way when you are navigating around the narrow confines of the case) and then locating the video scaler chip.
You then remove it from its seating point and clean the connections; an eraser works well for this. It then has to be seated correctly back in its slot. Once this is done and the hard drive and disk drive are re-installed you can put the case back together.
When you turn your console on again it should be free of the e74 error.
Good Luck and have a nice day.

Why does my xbox 360 disconect me from xbox live while im playing halo3 and all my other games

It appears during big games, so it may have been some kind of issue when there's a lot of traffic during big games. That may still be the issue.

Confirm that LAN connection icon on your PC will flicker
occasionally - the LAN connection will drop and instantly reconnect.

If you use a router try and bypass it and connect the modem directly to the PC because certain hardware's like router affect the browsing performance of the Device.

In the "Filters" page enable "Block WAN request" which apparently controls the filter controls whether the router responds to pings.

Also confirm that the web response test of your internet service is good.Contact you network service provider for that.

Good Luck.

Cant connect to internet using internet stick

The internet stick you have would be a USB device which is not supported by Xbox 360, you can connect to Xbox 360 wirelessly or through a wired connection

One way of connecting wireless internet is through the ethernet cable to a laptop paired with your wireless router, or you would have to buy a Wi-Fi adapter for Xbox 360 which retails around $90.

Since Xbox 360 does not have a software like a PC, it is unable to recognize the USB internet stick you have as a internet connection, it may probably end up showing it up just as a USB device on the system settings menu on the Xbox 360 dashboard

Everything is fine until the internet has to connect to xbox live. It asks me for an update and then doesnt work?

Attempt to clear the system cache to see if that helps. To do that hold down the sync button (little white button right beside the second Memory unit slot) and then turn the console on. Continue to hold the sync button until the 360 loads fully to the dashboard. This should clear any failures in the system.

If this doesn't work, consider calling Microsoft at 1-800-4MY-XBOX.

Goin crazy

well please explain more clearly your connection so i can help you better. and about your verizon... it depends what type of verizon connection you have and i belive you said you have DSL. if you are trying to play games such as Gears of War where there is a large reliance on the host's connection you will definitly want a faster connection such as broadband or the new verizon FIOS which will alow you to support all of the players in your game without a large amount of lag factoring into the game play. and nobody likes a laggy connection.
