I did not find any special psu for your pc, must have a standard one , probably a mini 300w. The best thing to do is take the psu (or the pc if you dont want to remove psu) to pcworld if it is a big one they should have it in stock. The price of a psu oscillates between 25 and 60 pounds.

If you want me to find right psu online you need to give me psu part number that is on a sticker in psu.

    regards

Sounds exactly like a failing power supply. Hopefully you bought an extended warranty when you purchased the computer. You should look into having the PSU replaced.

Difficult to say at this stage. If the fans on the PSU spin when the power button is pressed in and held, it would indicate that there is power to the PSU, but that does not rule out a faulty PSU

I'm suspicious about the fact you need to hold in the power button, which is normally a way of switching OFF the computer.

Might I suggest you try the following:

1.) As suggested before, remove the power switch connector to the Fpanel header on the board (should be labelled PW or pW switch). using two single pin connectors on the end of a piece of wire, connect them to the pins (does not matter in which order). Plug the computer in and touch the ends of the wires from the pins together briefly, if the computer boots, then the issue lies with the switch aseembly. If you are unhappy about doing this, you can use a multimeter set to the ohms scale and place one probe in each of the wires that go to the switch. Press the switch and hold it and see if you get a reading. You should get a reading and this will drop as soon as you let go the switch

2.) Replace the power supply and see if that works. This is the second cheapest option.

3.) If a new PSU does not work, then the issue must lie with the motherboard. I'm assuming you have already checked that the main multi cable is FIRMLY in the socket and the subsidiary 4 pin Black and Yellow cable is in the seperate socket

Try replacing the internal battery to fix the time problem. Make sure that you touch a metal part of the Tower chassis before touching any internals to avoid damage and discharge any static buildup.

Hp media centre m1180n wont power up after power cut

most likely it was the psu. You can actually test it yourself by buying a psu tester made by Antec that you should be able to buy in stores. It's a cheaper alternative to buying a PSU and just hoping that was the problem.

Check your Power Supply Unit..(PSU) It has most probably "Faulted". BUT first remove all cards... disconnect all Hard Drives, CD/DVD's etc.. try to power on... if still no-go then ya PSU IS Definitely faulty. Replace. If it DOES go, then, simply plug in each removed device and turn on again, in turn,... until it will NOT power on & that device, will be your "Faulty" bit.. replace that device/card etc. & NOT the PSU. The PSU's are fairly inexpensive these days. To replace ya PSU, open up ya PC... Disconnect the PSU's Plug from Motherboard. Unscrew the Four (4) Screws from PSU, from the rear, near fan. To install is simply the reverse process... Screw the PSU into place..connect up the Plug onto the Mother Board.. ya done.. Power On.
