Question about iLO (2 GB) MP3 Player

1 Answer

Disc helppp Over and over have I tried to get this disk to work for me. Still, it has the upper hand. It keeps telling me that my system requires an updated version of this so-called "Easy-Install Disk", and advises that I go online for an updated disk. Well, the link it sends me to seems to have absolutely nothing to do with my problem. What do I do?

Just plug it in, and let Windows XP load the drivers. You don't need the CD.

First try a different disc if you haven't already, but it sounds like you may have knocked the laser out of alignment. On older playstations and other cd or dvd driven system the laser was much less sensitive then it is on the playstation 3 since it has a bluray laser. If you system is still within warranty i would suggest contacting sony to get it repaired, or take it back to the store you bought it from. If not under warranty then i would look into replacing the bluray drive. Often these parts can be purchased on ebay or various other sites.

Hi my mixer on the right hand side doesn't work, it keeps telling me that its an error and wont eject the disc that it has in it.

Some of the failures to eject a disk problems are due to failure or slipping of a little drive belt that moves the carriage out. Also sometimes the alignment is bad and the disk hits the front escutcheon.

Issue with opticaldrive and creating factory default disc

most of the time to create recovery disks you have to use about 7 cds, 2 DVDs, 1 blueray or double layer. some systems also use DVD+R, when you start the disk creation it would tell you what it requires, your best option (if compatible) would be using 2 DVDs-R. On the other hand if you inserted the cd and it turned a few revs. most likely it is ruined already so you have to use a new disk.
if it is a brand new pc you should be able to use DVD. here is a tutorial for HP and it is pretty similar for most computers

if it works for you don't forget to rate me

Does it only happen in Windows media player? If it does try gettting the updated version of media player. if it happens in other applications try changing the dics. If that doesnt work, you need to delete the lower and upper filters in the registry *Note* if you are not really comfortable in doing that then dont, Wrong move in the registry can mess up the operating system, here is the link how to delete the lower and upper filters

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060

if these doesnt work uninstall then reinstall the driver for the optical drive..

try also getting an update from your computer manufacturer. update for the optical drive, or BIOS

lastly, try reinstalling the operating system, if these doesnt work change the optical drive because its a hardware issue..

I can't play a disc becouse the region code is incorrect on SD-4000 DVD Toshiba, how I can change the code

Hi, hmm...try this and let me know if it works^_^ Goodluck!

1. Power on the player.
2. Open the disk tray.
3. With the remote, enter the numbers 9 8 7 9 and
then press 0 (for region 0, or multiregion). A prompt
at the upper right hand corner of the start screen should tell you that the player has been set to region 0.
4. Close the disk tray.
5. Power off the player and then power it back on.

Hopefully this will work on all players of this model.

Disk rotating and a message "invalid disk"

you can try manually cleaning the laser lens ( gently wipe , do not press down hard , it is suspended by fine wires ) using a q-tip and a drop of that cleaning solution you got with the laser lens disc. ( fluff another q-tip a little ) then dry wipe it with another q-tip and try a disc.
you can look at the laser lens and see if you see the laser come on also to determine if that is working ( do not look directly into the laser ! )
if the laser works but it still does not read discs after cleaning it manually , then there is a problem with the focus coil on the laser or the signal board is bad

Cannot eject finalized disc

Try turnin the camera to the side where gravity will help pop open the disc and be careful not be keeping it close with your own hand. Its a thin cover and you can accidently be holding it close without knowing.
