Question about iLO (2 GB) MP3 Player

1 Answer

Disc helppp Over and over have I tried to get this disk to work for me. Still, it has the upper hand. It keeps telling me that my system requires an updated version of this so-called "Easy-Install Disk", and advises that I go online for an updated disk. Well, the link it sends me to seems to have absolutely nothing to do with my problem. What do I do?

Just plug it in, and let Windows XP load the drivers. You don't need the CD.

Cd not playing, says it is reading then tells me there is no disc in.

Try another disk in it, for an optimal test, try one that was purchased from a store. If it doesn't work there is probably an issue with the laser inside it.

I own a 3rd gen ipod nano. When I hooked it up to

You will want to force the iPod into disc mode before reconnecting to your computer for the restore process within iTunes. Below is a step by step on forcing an iPod into disc mode just in case you need the information.
Putting ipod into disc mode http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1363 Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Set it to Hold, then turn it off again.) Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for at least 6 seconds until the Apple logo appears. When the Apple logo appears, release the Menu and Select buttons and immediately press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until the Disk Mode screen appears.
Connect the iPod to your computer; the screen on the iPod will change and say "Do not disconnect" If you are having difficulty putting the iPod model into disk mode, set it on a flat surface. Make sure that the finger pressing the Select button is not touching the Click Wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Play/Pause button toward the outside of the Click Wheel and not near the center.
If you are still unable to put your iPod with a Click Wheel into Disk Mode, use one finger from one hand to press the Select button, and one finger from the other hand to press the Play/Pause button.

My ipod isn't recharging or even turning on.

try putting the ipod into disc mode before connecting it to your computer to restore. Just in case you are unsure on how to put an ipod into disc mode, I have posted step by step instructions below. This is the only other option to restore the ipod and not need it repaired or replaced.
I hope it works for you :)

My ipod can't sync

Just a thought, you can try and reformat the iPod through itunes. You will lose all of your information so you may need to back up all your music before hand.
Good luck and i hope this helps!
