Greetings I have an Epson (all in one) Printer/scanner Epson Stylus CX3810 I work with a Mac powerbook G4 (laptop) my system is a 10.5.6 Leopard (just updated) Can this printer work with this system, (I have no disks fer install) How can I do this? Tx Dash

You will need to get an OS X installation DVD. Try eBay.Don't go for anything lower than 10.4 (Tiger)10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard) should run fine on this machine.Don't bother with 10.7 or 10.8

It seems that snow leopard is only installable on macs with intel processors, and yours is PowerPC.

STart up your G4 using the OS disc for leopard, but instead of reinstalling the system, go to the menu at the top of the screen and Launch Disk Utility.
You may need to remount your hard drive. The disk utitliy can do this for you. Then it should appear in the disk utillity window. Then you should be able to install the OS and away you go!

Is the scanner detected in Apple System profiler? If so, what applications have you tried to access the scanner from?

mac book pro has a usb cable right? you can actually use it to connect to the r2400 and then dont use a guten driver use the downloadable driver for r2400 for leopard instead

your epson driver soft ware should have installed the driver for your printer and scanner. uou should remove the exsisting driver and re innstall it again.

Reinstall everything: leopard, driver?
