my toaster oven just won't turn on. it happened all of a sudden

  • Anonymous Nov 04, 2008

It was on and pre-heating and then it just stopped. Is there a fuse in the oven that can be changed?

  • sigifdb Jan 13, 2009

    Mains supply tested ok
    Problem is a Sefuse: SF 169E rated at 172 C 10A 250V ID C0565
This fuse runs from the mains input line thru the thermo control to the timer switch.
My test shows the fuse as defective; oven has been in domestic use only not even for 3 years,
    Shame on you Delonghi!

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

f the oven doesn't work at all, make sure the circuit breaker or fuse is on at the electrical service panel and test the electrical cord . If the oven doesn't work on its toaster and oven functions, test the main switch . As needed, check the fuse .
If the toaster function doesn't turn off unless the door is open, test the solenoid, the switch and if necessary, the thermostast.

Location of the typical toaster oven's thermal fuse.
If the toaster oven stays on when the door is opened, check the main switch . If the oven doesn't heat, test the heating elements.

Dead Delonghi toaster oven

Your timer switch burned out. The timer is manual and will tick even unplugged. Delonghi switches are available at The Gourmet Depot website or search "small appliance parts" for other places that sell the switches.

Cactus Bob Is WRONG. I've had these replaced; and then, when it happened subsequently, bought the part and replaced it myself. You have to take the entire thing apart. but it can be done.

Toaster/oven

Could be the timer switch. They will suddenly stop working all at once or work intermittantly. Unless it's a Delonghi you may have a very hard time finding the part you need. If the switch is a DKJ/1-60 you will not find one but there is a Delonghi switch that you can use which you can find at www.thegourmetdepotco.com or www.applianceparts.com . The Delonghi part # is 5218104600 to replace a DKJ/1-60
