I have same problem with my LG 42" plasma. It was working before, on one HDMI input had been connected Sony PSP. I disconnected PSP and after that AV2 and all 3 HDMI inputs had been disappeared from Input menu. AndroidLVR's solution is not working. The factory reset as well. Any more advice? rashitamra, did you repair you TV? Thanks and best regards

Well, first question would be is anything plugged in, and is currently outputting any content? Some televisions will only display input devices that are being fed some kind of content in list form. Like my Westinghouse...when my PS3 is on, my little HDMI3 will show up with a square indicating content....when it is off....HDMI3 is not listed. I'm sure you can however manually scroll through inputs on your remote, and you will find your AV2 HDMI.

Hello Jacques,
This type of failure on this plasma is due to a defective IC that is mounted underneath the black heatsink located on the Ysustainer board. In order to isolate this failure to the Ysustainer board, I would suggest to check the fuses at location FS2 and FS3.
Here is more info for in regards to the Ysustainer board: REPAIR SERVICE FOR EBR31872801 YSUS BOARD FOR FLASHING DISPLAY TV NOT...

Trouble trying to connect my dvd player and set it up to my new 42 " L cd lost instructions!

Hi there,
You will need to determine if your DVD player is HDMI or Scart. If you connect it via a scart lead, then it should automatically turn on when you power it up, if not it will be located on your tv under the appropriate source/input label, ie AV1/AV2, or SCART.
If you are using a HDMI lead, then you will have to turn it over yourself, as HDMI does not support switching control. To do this, locate the input button on your remote (sometimes labled source) and press it until you can select the correct HDMI input using either the directional buttons, or by repeatedly pressing the input button.
Hope this helps

My plasma LG TV has a black display box in the top left corner of screen. No words or text in it, just a black box covering that coirner of picture...how do I get rid of it?

There should be a button on your TV remote that will be called "Display" or "P in P".
The display button usually displays which input you have selected, such as: SAT for Satellite; AV1, AV2, AV3 or AV4 - depending on how many inputs your TV has, to plug in devices like a VCR or DVD recorder/player.
Otherwise, if you have a more sophisticated TV, it could be that you have accidentally pressed the "P in P" button, that selects the Picture in Picture mode. If you have done this, your TV will display the main picture of the input you have selected, plus another input, (such as SAT or AV1 or AV2 etc. as I've mentioned above). If the AV1 or AV2, etc. input is not active (not switched on) then that input will only display a blank (black) picture in the top left corner of the screen.
Hope this helps...

Green light is on ...white noise sound but no picture

This TV finds the connected input sources
automatically for AV1, AV2 and Component 1-
2. It is presumed that RGB and HDMI/DVI
sources are connected.

Check your setup to see if the audio is turn off but if you have a clear picture you should have sound.

Time to call a TV Tech if you are not going to repair the unit.

Can not get HDMI to work on PLAYSTION 3 on my Philips 42' Plasma

I had the same thing with my PS3 on a samsung 40". Try pressing the power button down on the PS3 for 5 secs or more, until it beeps (Not sure if it's one beep or a series of). I think this is how you reset the system and it should automatically recognise and reset the resolution size to HD on you're screen. Hope this helps,

Andy.
